Yeah Money for Nothing  was the first song I listened to. It is sort of my go to reference song. I am going to listen to some Boston and Adele then some oldschool Earth, Wind & Fire sounds like a great suggestion.

    I have a fiio e11 paired with an A-700, I enjoy it but those were rather random purchases I have only recently come down with the disease of audiophillia so I am not sure what more knowledgeable and experienced people would think of that combo. 

Anyone know the answer?

It depends how much you want to spend but I think the Audinst Mx1 or Yulong D100 would both be great choices, the E10 is a more inexpensive option. Hop over to headfonia.com Mike has good reviews on combo Amp/Dacs.

Thanks to all you guys in this thread it helped me make the decision to purchase a Wa6 with sophia upgrade. I bought the DT880/600s to pair with the amp. Should get the headphones in at the end of the week and the amp in a couple of weeks. 

I was going to buy the 650's but by the time I got my money together it had jumped to 499 so I purchased the DT880s instead. Oh well. 

I've heard good from bass heads about the DT990. I have the 880s so I can't comment specifically.

I don't mind the wait as long as I get an email status update. I ordered a DT880/600 to go with the amp. I should get those in sometime this week. Do y'all think an e11 can power those while I wait for the wa6? I guess I does give me a chance do a slight burn in on the dts if the e11 is up to...

How long does it typically take to get a new amp in once you order? I can't stop thinking about the wa6 I ordered three days ago. The wait is killing me. I imagine it's a big difference from the fiio e11 I have now.

I'd like to know this as well, I've had similar problems. It seems to happen when I play faster paced music. 

I am upgrading from A700s to DT880s and was thinking about selling the A700s. They are only a few months old if you want to buy another pair of A700s. 

I just bought the DT880/600 and a Wa6 with the sophia upgrade. Right now I have an A700 paired with a fiio e11. My DAC is a music streamer II. Hopefully I shall hear a big improvement in sound. 

Damn you head-fiers, I bought an Audio Technica A700 a few months ago, followed by a fiio e11 and then a Music Streamer II (I caught upgraditis quick). Yesterday I caved in and ordered DT880s 600 ohm and a WA6 with the Sophia upgrade. Hopefully it is a good combination to last me quite a while. 

I know this is a rather old thread, but I am thinking of purchasing the DT880 and Asgard, are there any more recent opinions on the combo?
