Hi, I was recommended here by Mad Lust Envy on his main gaming audio thread.  I was wondering what sound card everyone here would recommend for a basic Dolby Headphone setup.  My cans of choice are Denon D-2000 and I already own a FiiO e17.

What would you guys recommend for an all-round for games and movies?  Most of my competitive gaming is not FPS-related, so immersion is the biggest factor.  I currently own Denon AD-2000 and a FiiO E17.

Doesn't something like the Astro Mixamp process the sound, and send it out as 2.0?  Would an e7 be overkill, pairing it with an astro mixamp? (specifically speaking towards the 598s)

Would something like the FiiO e7/e9 combo be better suited for my needs?  I realize that's significantly more expensive than the solution provided above.
