Can you get SE215's _with_ android controls for under $100?  From what I remember the cable with the controls is separate and not cheap.

The e10 is the only thing I can think of under $100.   It can drive them.  I have no idea if it'll sound better than your sound card :)

Well you can just run  from computer -> DAC -> receiver (via RCA if need be)

I just picked up some HE400's.  Absolutely love them.  I'm driving them off a Fiio E10, which has plenty of juice to power these.     Nothing else to add, these just make me smile when I listen to music, and really, I can't ask for much more

When I'm exercising, I'm not listening critically.  I'm drowning out the environment.  No reason to spend more than $15 (see my sig ;) )   YMMV.

I'd suggest listening straight from the iphone and getting an E10 ($75) for use with the laptop.  Well within your budget, keeps your 'mobile' rig streamlined and when you do sit down you get the benefit of a DAC that's considered very good value for money by many (I'm biased, I own one).  ...

I took my PA2V2, didn't even get asked about it.  Kept it with my laptop bag and never got a question, comment or had any problems.  Mind you, given the current state of Security Theater, just because something works for a few people with no issues is no guarantee that some overzealous...
