My E17 arrived today so far used it as an amp and as a DAC with my E9, and I like it. Need to listen some more with it but initially I'd say it sounds better than the E7.

I'm finding the Comply P100 work well with my 4R's.  Much better than the T100's they come with.

Doesn't seem the way you've been using it is working that well for you, so maybe you should try it with the short LOD and put the amp and player together. I originally thought the same as you and have long LODs. Since going to short a LOD I find it far more convenient.

The medium Comply's seem to work best for me as well with the 4R's.

Did you buy mail order or brick an mortar? Either way take or send them back, and get a replacement, it's definitely worth it. Mine work great, the sound is really good for a bluetooth headphone. The noise canceling works well too. It's not as obvious as the noise canceling on the Bose QC...

Mine work fine,  Sounds like you might have a defective pair.  Do they work when plugged in?

I hazard to guess that if the others offered both fixed and removable cables they would also charge for them. There are 4 connectors involved and extra work, so I'm not surprised they charge more. As for if it is worth it that's a personal judgment. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
