The WP900 is very detailed since I came from a Kennerton GH40, which sounds alot more laid back. I would say the treble is definitely alot higher on the AP2000TI but its not Sennheiser HD800 bright.

Oh nevermind. You would probably not like most Denons. I found the WP900 to have quite a prominent treble but I agree that the mids feel recessed. Hows the build holding up for you on the R9 since from my experience it feels too flimsy for carrying in a backpack full of books and a laptop.
