I've used them with my FiiO X5 III, works well. Better with an amp. I need to get a 4 pin XLR to 2.5 TRRS adapter to take advantage of the X5's balanced output.

I've only had the 660S for a few days now and have to say that I like them. Like night and day compared to my decade+ old HD 580. Bass wise, pretty close, midrange hands down goes to the 660. The 580 just seems kinda muffled. Treble also goes to the 660. Keep in mind my age, 57, 4 years Coast...

Currently using GE 5670W tubes w/6922 adapters. Very smooth, no graininess.

CH23, thanks for the reply.   The X5 interface is pretty intuitive. So no issues.   The copying to the micro SD was done straight from the PC. Never met a device that had any speed through usb. :)   Gonna go hunt down EAC now and check it out.   Ski

I put mine in the smallest case i could get away with, that would also hold the tread PS.

I have my tread in a 1.75 x 3 x 4.75 Hammond and use a wall wart. Oh, yeh there's a Pimeta in the case also.

Mine works well with the tread in the case. I used the smallest case that I could get away with.

I'm currently using a Pimeta that I built myself and a pair of Senn 580's. It has plenty of power to drive them. 2x OPA637 for L/R, OPA627 for ground, single 634 buffer on each channel and ground.

UPDATE on the minor disaster... It turned out that I only fried the the left output buffer on the amp. Unfortunately I killed the left side of my Senn PX 200's. Oh well, This time testing with cheapie ear buds. Now I just need to pick a case. Thank you all, for your input. Wayne
