Recording Impulse Responses for Speaker Virtualization
Interesting. I'm about 1,5m from the speakers. They are for a computer. Now I'm thinking, could be problem that it's 2.1 system? Not 2.0 full range... But to the PC it's connected as stereo 2.0.- Benik3

Recording Impulse Responses for Speaker Virtualization
I use Corsair HS70 Pro. Maybe is problem that Impulcifier always measure on max volume? (if I got it right from description) The mic was pretty well fitted in my ear and tried to make sure that they didn't changed over measuring.- Benik3

Recording Impulse Responses for Speaker Virtualization
The sound is so bad that I wasn't even able to fix it by EQ. Whole soundstage is weird. Where do you mean to apply Harman correction? I did room calibration as mentioned in wiki of Impulcifer with stereo setup and run the processing command as mentioned on first page on github. Here is my...- Benik3

Recording Impulse Responses for Speaker Virtualization
So I played again with Impulcifier. I made even room calibration, but still the sound is bad. I totally lost bass, the sound is like from the cheapest headphones :/ Also it's VERY quiet. Even after adding 20dB preamp it's still much quieter the without hesuvi. Here is frequenccy response in REW...- Benik3

Recording Impulse Responses for Speaker Virtualization
True, but it has also function to make FR compensation of the headphones. But on the other hand I can do this always with REW and just add the correction to APO EQ.- Benik3

Recording Impulse Responses for Speaker Virtualization
I mean calibration of the frequency response, because when you look on my previous screen where I compare my DIY mic with Omnitronic (which should be calibrated) there is difference in high tones.- Benik3

Recording Impulse Responses for Speaker Virtualization
@musicreo I have the microphone pretty deep in my ear canal, maybe too much? :D @jaakkopasanen I tried now mono speaker setup. The sound sounds OK for me in stereo. Yes I was able to locate the sound pretty well in the HeSuvi test. I will try to do room corection and do another measuring...- Benik3

Recording Impulse Responses for Speaker Virtualization
I have now new Corsair HS70 Pro and I still don't know if I should keep them because of this (without effect the stereo is too much "separated"). Otherwise the sound is pretty good (especially for gaming headphones). Before I had SoundBlaster tactis 3D Sigma where is simply a slider in their...- Benik3

Recording Impulse Responses for Speaker Virtualization
I tried to play with it. The sound is really so wide, but I have problem, that it's too wide :D When I tried to play e.g. Mass Effect Andromeda with enabled hesuvi, I almost wasn't able to identify, from where the sound come. It was like when I'm on some big place and sound came from long...- Benik3

Recording Impulse Responses for Speaker Virtualization
Thanks for reply guys! I will test it :) I compared the DIY microphones with Omnitronic MM-2USB and it looks pretty OK, but thanks for the tip on the EM258! EDIT: Both options works, but the sound in hesuvi is different from just APO (suggested by musicreo). In Hesuvi it's not so harsh. Anyway...- Benik3

Recording Impulse Responses for Speaker Virtualization
Hello guys. Pretty interesting project. I just tried to play with it. I have new Corsair HS70 Pro Wireless headphones and I build my own In-ear microphones with WM-61A. Can I use the resulted hrir.wav simply in EQ APO as Convolution with impulse response? I tried it and I always got result...- Benik3

Best Gaming headset for under 100 euro
Can anybody say if there are good "Gaming" (with microphone) headphones comparable in sound quality with "normal" music headphones? E.g. like Audio Technica ATH-AVA400. I tried e.g. Sennheiser gaming headsets in prices around 300-400$ and the sound was crap...- Benik3

True :D Now I'm really thinking about the Pro version. The review sounds pretty good - it seems that Pro can be very similar to ZS7 in bass. On Ali they have them now for 21$ and for 32$ with Bluetooth module (ZS7 cost 36$ and what's interesting, they are not even in the official store).- Benik3

Best Computer Audio Player Software?
I use Logitech G500 which has 3 buttons for thumb. So I use the middle one for play/pause. It's very handy, especially when I'm playing I need to quickly stop the music :) I just had to change association of the play/pause button from "Multimedia: play/pause" to "Playback: play/pause" in...- Benik3
