    Fiio E7 Help

I've figured it out. It's itunes that's interfering with the music before it gets to the dac in the fiio e7. Unfortunately, itunes doesn't have the option that lets me disable the volume control so all I have to do is turn the volume down as low as it goes and the bad sound isn't very...

    Fiio E7 Help

I seriously doubt that the Fiio E7 DAC is worse than the iPhone's. I think the problem is in my computer's software but I have no idea how to fix it. I would really appreciate any help!   Thanks, Cedric

    Fiio E7 Help

I have this exact problem with my Fiio E7 amp. When I use it with my iphone through the iphone doc the sound is amazing and the bass very clean. When I plug it in through the usb port on my computer, the bass gets fuzzy and not as clean. The equalizer on itunes is off so that can't be the...

    Open/closed heapdhones and bass response

Do open headphones have less bass response than closed headphones? If so, why?

    ohms

That helped a lot! all this stuff is really cool. Just to make sure, amperes is the amount of electricity going through a wire or something, volts is the amount of pressure on that electricity and watts is the amount of electricity that the device is taking?

    ohms

That helped a lot! so the higher impedance takes less current but more amps?

    ohms

You kind of confused me by saying: plugging high voltage headphones into an amp (high impedance) ...shouldn`t high voltage headphones have a low impedance?

    ohms

So high impendance phones get less affected by distortion from having a chain or parallel of things plugged together? And also, Head Injury, I did not understand what you meant by more impendance being easier on the amp because it requires less current.

    ohms

Is more ohms better? I understand that a headphone with more ohms needs more power because it has more resistance but does that make the headphones better?

Has anyone tried both of these? If yes how do they compare?

Review by 'CedricE' on item 'V-MODA Crossfade LP Over-ear Headphone'

Frequency range: 5Hz - 30kHz Impedance: 32 Ohms THD (total harmonic distortion): 0.05% Sensitivity: 105 dB noise cancellation: 10dB I bought these headphones for 200$ (they retail for 250) and I love them! I listen to heavy bass music (mostly dubstep) and these headphones handle it no...

    Fiio E7 and E9 difference

I use itunes. If what you're saying is right, the DAC of the e7 is quite a bit worse then the DAC of the iphone. So the e9 is not a DAC? because the DAC would be my weak link in the chain right now.

    Fiio E7 and E9 difference

The amp inside the computer is garbage so the jack is no good. There are no EQ settings and even if there were some plugging the headphone amp through the usb port should bypass the eq of the computer since it's bypassing the computer amp no? At least, this is what I think it does... Cedric

    Fiio E7 and E9 difference

Thanks a lot for answering. I know that all that I'm getting by using the e7 as a headphone amp with an iphone is a tiny bit crisper sound, way more battery, more power, and a splitting function. But why does it have worse sound when I use it as a DAC/AMP with my computer through the usb port...

    Fiio E7 and E9 difference

I bought a Fiio E7 headphone amp to go with my v-moda crossfade lp headphones and it works absolutely great with the mini to ipod doc. Everthing is really great when I plug it into the ipod. When I use the usb plug in to my desktop the sound is not nearly as nice. Apparently the E7 is made to be...
