NEW Vali Schiit AMP!!!
I'm finally in the Modi>Vali>HD650 camp after receiving my Vali yesterday. I'm still obviously in burn in phase but so far I am pleased. Songs are somewhat hit or miss, a few sound absolutely incredible, amazing separation and clarity, and I've found that it's the lower mids that are really...- PJ11

Klipsch Image X10 for $94 (usually $350)!!
I agree with this but more like 70-80%. The microphonics really are unbelievably bad especially when walking, it's really bad in my left ear. The sound is great though and they are comfortable but if you're selling a $300+ iem you have to come up with something better than the cable on...- PJ11

The IEM/Portable Headphones Deal Alerts Thread - Closed! Use the Deals Thread III instead.
don't know if it's been posted yet and obviously its not as good as the $99 deal but the TF10s and Klipsch x10s are still relatively cheap on amazon, $137 for the X10s and $158 for the TF10s. This is cheaper than they normally are on there I think... ...- PJ11

Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 Thread
these sound great but wow are they a poor fit in my ears, especially the right one. What was the consensus from the people talking about getting group remolds? Did they already agree to do it or what? what kind of price do you think you can get?- PJ11

you'd be surprised, if they have your impressions already and you've paid they start pretty much right away, at least that's the impression I got from how quickly they made mine- PJ11

1964 Ears
I don't have personal experience as I am waiting for mine to ship but I originally elected for the soft canals but then was talked into switching by people on this board. I think the main criticism is that they form a vacuum in your ear and the suction can get annoying. I'm not exactly sure what...- PJ11

DIY Cable Gallery!!
Sorry I don't know where to ask this and didn't want to start a thread; is it possible to repair/replace a broken jack on a pair of UE700s? They were plugged into my laptop and someone stepped on them, snapping the jack off in the computer...How would i go about repairing this or is it just done?- PJ11

Best entry-level amp for 1964Qs and an iphone?
I read that airport mode solves this problem, is that true? I don't think I'll really have a huge problem with turning wifi/cell off since the majority of critical listening I'd be doing would be on a long flight or something like that and I think I'm unlikely to care too much about using an amp...- PJ11

Best entry-level amp for 1964Qs and an iphone?
I'm looking for a portable amp to drive my 1964Qs preferably for under $100 to use with an iphone and ipod touch. I'm obviously new to this world but I've escalated up from a couple of universal iems (Shure SE215s to UE 700s) and now diving head-first into customs with ALAC conversion, an amp...- PJ11

Hi, I think I'm about to order the Quads and I had a couple questions about the optional add ons; 1) are soft canals worth it? what difference do they make in terms of sound/fit 2) what are ambient ports? what difference dot hey make 3) ditto with recessed sockets these...- PJ11
