Headphone Sightings 2
I was riding on the transit bus today and I saw a guy wearing Shure SE-535, made my day honestly. First headphone sighting apart from a pair of Ultimate Ears 11 pro customs that haven't been 1. Cheap as hell or 2. Beats/Bose.- Baiton

Shure SRH 940 impression and support thread
Not really on topic with what's being discussed, but I recently picked up the beyerdynamic DT 1350s and it made me put my 940s on the shelf for the better part of 2 months, I recently got some new music and I think everyone who's found an amp to pair with the 940s that they are happy with should...- Baiton

Headphone Nicknames?
My friends have taken the liberty of dubbing my Shure SE535s "The Kevlars" due to their Kevlar reinforced cable, have any of you guys given your headphones petnames?- Baiton

Have you ever had the feeling you wanted to rewind time and go back to cheap headphones?
I tried....no dice though I couldn't handle the harsh sibilance and the non existent bass....now i've tripled my collections worth since then and have nowhere to go but up! :D- Baiton

Can somebody clear something up for me?
So my Shure SRH940s have an impedance of 42 ohms, whereas my beyerdynamic DT1350s have an impedence of 80 ohms. Now I have a Fiio e5 portable amp (obviously not a premium amplifier by any stretch) but it appears my DT1350s with almost twice the impedence (of the 940s of course) respond much...- Baiton

beyerdynamic DT 1350 first impressions
Quote: I love both my SRH 940s and my SE535s both meant for purely monitoring and referencing, mind you I burned those in intensely...so i'm hoping after some a solid burn in period i'll end up loving them like you do! :D- Baiton

beyerdynamic DT 1350 first impressions
Normally I would have burned these in for 50 plus hours but with all the hype regarding these I tore into them right away...my first impressions are extremely flat, and a little underwhelming. Any thoughts?- Baiton

Anyone else actually prefer the Shure SRH940s over their younger brother 840s?
Quote: I cannot praise them enough, as I used the 840s for 6 months prior to getting my 940s and I really cannot find a reason to use my 840s anymore, I let people borrow them more often than not. I'm not Shure (I made a funny!) what kind of driving power the clip has but i can get...- Baiton

I have yet to try it, but I heard the Fiio e5 and the e7 both compliment the 940s, but SERIOUSLY, give them a go before you dismiss them from your list of must look ats. I can run them out of my iPhone 4 without any problems and it sounds halfway decent, and the Clip is a mini marvel so i...- Baiton
