Is the Hifiman HE-6 clearly a league above the Hifiman HE-500?
I've only heard both through a lyr. i feel that the in terms of detail, the he6 is better, not saying the he500 is not good in this area, which it most certainly is. the midrange of the he6 i find is slightly less warm and musical then the he500, which may be a slight put of to some as it sounds...- Jojomite

Balanced HD650 vs Single LCD-2
get the lcd2, much better centre image, the hd650 is nonexistent. hd650 is also very veiled compared to lcd2- Jojomite

SRH940 to T70
i heard the dt1350 and the t70. i feel that the dt1350 would be a downgrade or side grade, soundstage is a lot smaller and detail is quite a lot worse. the t70 would be a much better, its quite airy for a close headphone, although most ppl do agree that it is not a very full sounding headphone.- Jojomite

Ms1i or AD700 for classical/opera??????
i think u should get the ms1i and the mod it into a ms1000. the soundstage in the ms1000i is huge and is quite suitable for classical music:) however, if u don't want to do any diy work i suggest u to stay away from the ms1i as it is a rock orientated headphone and honestly fairs quite terribly...- Jojomite

Will a HE-500 replace any of my existing headphones?
i don't think it will be better in EVERY way but at least most. the detail level would be a lot better and the bass texture and mids would be better as well. the only thing u may find to be not much of an improvement would be soundstage. ortho are generally not known for really good sound staging- Jojomite
