I need the cheapest speaker drivers that'll fit my cabinets (pic)
We threw a party and my 35 y.o. speakers blew up. The pic. (text: ghetto midrange, 3" port, 3" tweeter, 8" woofer) I assume I'll need a 2-way or 3-way crossover and at least 2 8" woofers, 2 3" tweeters and 2...I don't know, something for midrange. (originally it was two spearate...- stallion11msu

Outkast - Speakerboxxx & The Love Below
Speakerboxxx & The Love Below transcends genres. This is the best new album that I have heard this year. It is far beyond the current state of hip hop. I want to know what other head-fiers in possession of the discs think about it. At this point, I can recommend the album to all.- stallion11msu

Rolling Stone - FREE Sennheiser earbuds
I figure this kinda transcends the Gear for Sale Forum (but if not you can move it there). Anyway, I was flipping through the latest Rolling Stone and saw an ad for the PX100's and in the corner was this address and something about free earbuds. http://www.ultimateheadphone.com/100r...- stallion11msu

MD - 505/707 max volume level?
For anyone who owns a 505/707 and MX500's: Does it seem like 30/30 volume isn't very loud to you? I'm trying to figure out if my unit is defective, since max volume really isn't unbearably loud or anything like that. (and no I don't have AVLS on and the volume control on the MX500's isn't pushed...- stallion11msu

The MOVIE that made you cry?
Inspired by markl's old thread, I thought this thread would be a natural extension. I myself don't often cry to music, but I cry during movies far more frequently. Here are some flicks that turned me into a puddle: Braveheart - RIGHT at the part where Mel yells "FREEEEDOM!" I Am Sam -...- stallion11msu

Which phone would you call a "refined" KSC35/50?
Honestly, I am in love with the KSC-50. I don't ever remember it being discussed which phones might sound like a "better" KSC-35/50. I would liken it to going from a Grado SR-60 to a higher model. So which phone do you think shares some similar sonic qualities? As for my higher end cans...- stallion11msu

DIY ety foamies help
In regards to DIY foamies, how could I go about putting the hole into a solid foam earplug so they'll fit the plastic tube of real ety foamies? Simply punching a hole in the foam doesn't work, as the foam bunches up around one point and won't compress...Honestly, don't laugh, this is harder than...- stallion11msu

Well I'm looking to buy a digital coax cable from markertek for the simple reason that it'll be cheaper than a boulder. However the markertek website is SO DAMN CONFUSING . I'm a simple minded fellow, so if someone could possibly locate the 75 ohm coax cable I need and post a link to it I would...- stallion11msu

META42 vs. Headroom Little
A quick question for those who'd care to throw in an opinion or two: Would a decked out META42 (roughly $260) best a new Headroom Little or vice versa? Would a cosmic best both of them? *For home use with 580/600's and ER-4S's*- stallion11msu

HELP! How can I repair my 580's?
Ok, so here's what I did: (NO LAUGHING) I opened up my 580s to fix some intermittency today. In the process, I accidentally pulled the aluminum wire from its tiny hole and hence its connection with the coil. I managed to fit it back into the hole, but the sound goes in and out. So I need...- stallion11msu

Inexpensive, quality CDP?
Does it exist!? I hope this isn't a completely senile question. I only recently started on the road to total audio enlightenment! The Be-All, End-All $200-$300 headphone?
I am in search of the be-all, end-all headphone around the $200-300 mark. I own V6s, Grado sr80s, and ksc-50s but I'm looking for something that'll give me a little bit more.
