i´m sorry............ they may sound good and all, but is it just me or does stax make the ugliest pair of "headphones" earspeakers whatever in the world? those things look like toy boats for the bathtub! the omega 2´s are the only stax phone that isn´t embarassing to wear, pshshsh and you guys...

i really think the HD590´s are much better than even the HD600´s.... and i don´t hear the "brightness" everyone talks about, at least with the OBH-11, anyways, this combo is becoming my favourite listening setup lately, i really can´t recommend them enough

i use mine with the standard OBH-11 and with this combo they deliver the deepest, heaviest, most controlled bass of ANY of my headphones

i am not quite sure on how much they are in the USA, but i recommend the HD590s from Sennheiser, they are becoming my favourite headphone with each passing break-in cycle, i can´t get over how people could criticise these, I LOVE THE SENNHEISER HD590!!!

i personally think the HD600´s sound GREAT with the OBH-11 and the HD590´s too! that´s not saying it´s great also for the K501s! basically, OBH-11 is the most versatile and musical amp i have ever listened to and is underrated, i personally prefer it over the OBH-11SE and any tube amp in this...

metal? man, the SR325s were MADE for metal, they´re even made out of aluminum RS-2´s............ ach, i really don´t like them, get the SR325´s with the RA-1 and be happy!!!

for some reason i think he would love the SR80´s! excellent for the music he listens to, and not "overkill" for just portable use. They have more bass than the SR225´s(albeit a tad boomier, but it´s grado bass so don´t worry about it) and sound almost exactly like SR125´s, i honestly couldn´t...

any kind of price you wanna give us? go for the Orpheus if price isn´t an issue, RS-1 if price kinda is, and HD600 if price is. I personally think the HD600 would be the right cans for you, they truly are beautiful and "liquid" sounding.

most of the music through them i hear is techno, trance, hard rock, live band music such as Rush, Live, Stevie Nicks, Die Ärtze, etc... and some classical and smooth jazz and even some hip hop, basically almost everything under the sun and they take it wonderfully, and vertigo, if you like...

i have always skipped over these marvelous headphones in audio stores, not even bothering to try them on...... why? because most people said basically that they were junk that sounded thinner than an AKG K501 out of a 1mw discman! well, i got news for you, i finally tried them and all i can say...

nobody has really answered me directly, just gave me opinions(thanks, though!!) but i am still confused whether to get 831, or 931, remember i have the OBH-11(and brightness does not bother me, i love SR325s, lol, but extreme thinness does)

so, DT831 or DT931, i´m thinking 931 since they are in fact better headphones, according to beyer.... and it sounds like just what i want, AKG K501 smooth/dryness/3D soundstage with better bass punch, how well do the 931s or 831s work with the OBH-11??? thanks again guys!!

i´ve never read anything extremely good or extremely bad about beyerdynamics headphones.... however the DT831´s and DT931´s interest me, can somebody that has either of these tell me if they are good or not? since i live in germany these are EASILY attainable, just so as sennheiser. thanks! oh...

Grado SR80, then all hell broke loose and i´ve loved Grado primarily ever since, just swaying slightly to sennheiser and AKG at times, but always going back to the good old Grado, as you can see, every other can is so boring to me in comparison, kinda like VW, they just have "character".

anyone hear about these? i was cruising on www.gradolabs.com and found out in the acccessories that they now make a signature interconnect RCA cable!! how cool is that? now to find out a place where they sell it...

the HD580´s blow the HD495´s out of the water in every possible way, including durability!

how many times do i have to tell people how to cure grattles, god, it´s so simple, play them EXTREMELY loud off your head(to the point well before distortion, though) of course, the drivers automatically decrease themselves and any wires in the way will grattle themselves away, it works believe me.
