Mids are are a question of taste. I personally dislike recessed mids as much as overpronounced mids. IMO, the stock Gradessandros have too much mids, and the mods fixes that. I've compareded the MS1K and the Ulti to many other HPs, their tonality is very close to the super natural AKG...

Don't want to trouble you, Jeff, but a (MS1-based) MS1000 or the MS Pro Ulti perform close-to-perfection IMO in respect of these very genres - I am a hardcore electronicahead. You get the right amount of brilliance & fundamental notes, that famous soundscape, and also a very nice bass foundation...

My forum hitrate has decreased by 95%, but I still listen almost as much as in the "hot days". I wouldn't say my other bestiary collects dust, but the Ms Pro Ulti is still my main HP. It may not provide as thunderous speaker-like bass as my ortho, but all the rest is still the perfect package...
