I need to solder on a new plug to a pair of my headphones and both the local radioshack and guitar center (san francisco) don't have them in stock. Thing is, I'm moving out of the country and need to do this within a week. A 20 hour plane ride would REALLY suck without my favorite cans. Anyone...

The connection to one of the tips is loose, is there a way to open up and solder (earbuds that have volume control) or does anyone else have a suggestion short of buying new ones?   I've searched but can't find a DIY tutorial for this, if anyone else has a link that'd be very cool too. Thanks

I like my BeyerDynamic DT 770 for their long listening session comfort, but today I spaced out listening and jumped across room to grab phone and the prong that goes in the sound card snapped in half. Without realizing the cord was around my foot I did a nice pull on it and snapped the prong that goes in my sound card mostly off. I'm still getting sound out of one channel but not the other. Does anyone know of a place online or in the San Francisco area that can fix this? Thanks
