My friend has owned both the EX71s and the EX51s, and both of them the cord had corroded and coppper was exposed. He's looking for another pair of EX51s, except the white ones (EX51LP), I was wondering.. does the cord deteriorate too on these ones? Thanks in advanced.

I like it, but there's an EQ bug that doesn't fully utilize the custom EQ when you use it. This annoys me to such extents that it makes me regret buying it at all. I'm just waiting/hoping for another firmware update that'll fix this..

Used to be mostly portable, but now that school's over and for some reason I'm getting less hours at work too (I had way more hours during school) I'm always at home. I'm still interested more in portable though (closed, non leaking, not too big) but I always come back to my beautiful PX100s.

I noticed using the Custom EQ (after updating firmware, as before it would get pretty distorted) that if I switch a song, or turn the unit off for awhile and turn it back on, the EQ would be set back to normal and I'd have to go to sound > equalizer and adjust one of the bars to get the EQ back...
