Count me in as well Please :)   Used to own and build (for others) several computer system with Creative Sound-Cards. It would be great to re-connect with these.

      I meant that the 8255 is an integrated receiver with a decent head-phone out (on the front panel). The speaker out are on the back panel. Since I have not compared it with any of the amps mentioned in this thread, I would not where it stands, unfortunately.

Valkolton, First off thanks for the opportunity. Could you enlighten us on what devices are you targeting this to be used with ? Phones/ tablets/ dedicated-music-players given that not all of them are made equal. For example some cans sound good with Samsung Galaxies (tablets) and the same sound...

At least an hour a day of listening to music with the intention of listening to music fully submerged (Closed eyes meditative pose etc ;-)   roughly 2 to 4 hours a day as background music when multitasking.

I am not sure if this one will make it to the elite list posted above, but the Onkyo TX-8255 sounds decent to me as an entry level item.   Edit : The speaker outs are not that good though...

Count me in as well   I have access to most of the latest greatest Smart-phones (apart from home rig) so could give this a spin on most of them.   - Jazz - Classical - Carnatic - Minimal music   Location : Germany

Thanks Jay,                  Plenty questions here, I hope you will keep your word about answering them. Would be great to know   - what improvements does the PX bring to the DAC section over the CX (if any) - same question on the Class-A section - was there any update on the chasis...

Given some very good reviews on these forums about the DAC-Mini CX, has anyone here placed a pre-order on the PX ? Did anyone here have a chance to give it a listen (at shows/Beta-testing), if yes.. impressions / comparison with the CX  (other than that it adds a Class-D amp) ?
