Could someone suggest a replacement cable for my IE80? The thing is I'd prefer if it had a microphone and possibly controls (volume+pause/double press for next)?

When the phone is in my pocket (jeans) the connector and cable is always bent π/2 rad. And when I move my legs the connector is susceptible to movement to a position where it is not "connected well". I-shaped connector is the only way for me as it seems. I just hope Sennheiser would hear my pain...

Really, **** the L-shaped connector. Can someone provide me even one ******* actual benefit that makes it better than an I-shaped connector? Mine is already started to deteriorate the 3rd time from extremely light use (connector doesn't connect when in some positions).

I actually think mine broke down due to the way one rolls them into the case Sennheiser provides with them....Still, great IEMs, not that good cable.

Meh I replaced the IE80 cables anyway because they were **** (IMO) so I can't even remember how they felt.

Hence, they are just fine, on average. More expensive cables are more durable in nearly 100% of the time.

This is the second time the stock jack has broken down for me, so I am hoping these are better. I'd also like to fit the new cable inside the carrying box.

How do I change the cable? I have tried removing the stock cable but every time I try to pull it I just can't do it without using too much force, and every time I stop before I manage to disconnect it in fear of damaging something. Is there a trick to it or do I just pull until it pops off?

I really really love the ZO2.1/2.2 I have, and it was only what, 70$. But now it is 193.1€+possible VAT and import taxes. I also need a new TV so this is going to have to wait, but I'll eagerly wait for early impressions and hope for either a student discount or other discounts!:D

Yeah good luck finding any place that lets you listen to demo IEMs (as high end as IE800s are) here in Finland. I don't know about Helsinki, but I can't name any place where they'd offer that.

You were correct, they sadly don't (don't know why I didn't catch that). In any case I messaged them, but it seems IE80 are not included in their compatible headphone list, so I don't have my hopes up.   As it turned out they have the 99€ and 139€ options for Sennheiser IEMs. Need to think...
