Yeah, I wouldn't know. I haven't listened to the Beats amped. Just my M50's. They sound great amped. I agree with you. Although they still sound good unamped, I MUCH prefer them amped.- FatalSylence

I think he'd probably like the M50 too, even. I certainly liked it better than the Beats I tried. And now I own the M50's. After the burn in, after the pad removal mod, and with my amp and LOD, it sounds amazing. Love it. But, if these people want to believe the lie of the Beats, I guess...- FatalSylence

So, my friend invites all of his friends to a page that supposedly give free Beats to the first 10,000 fans. Hmmm... Sighting headphones online.. Nuff' said. It's all about the stupid coolness factor these days. I guess you hear what you want to hear, huh?- FatalSylence

Anyone Suffering From Tinnitus?
Yep. And to be honest, I'd rather have equal loss in both ears (as I do right now), than have disproportionate loss in both ears (as I did when I was 12).- FatalSylence

Anyone Suffering From Tinnitus?
It's interesting that you say that about the car. I saw a study done that a lot of commuters have substantially less hearing ability in their left ear than their right ear. The cause: having the window down.- FatalSylence

Beats vs ATH-M50s
Yeah man, I wouldn't worry about it. As long as the MP3's are 256Kbps (or even lower depending on the song), you won't really notice a difference. My opinion though.- FatalSylence

Beats vs ATH-M50s
I switched out the OPA2227 on my CMoy with an LM4562 and it seems to have increased the soundstage a bit. Still seems a little limited though.- FatalSylence

Beats vs ATH-M50s
What do you mean exactly by upgrade? Did you just convert it to a higher bitrate or did you re-rip the CD or buy it from Amazon MP3 or something?- FatalSylence

Beats vs ATH-M50s
I really dislike how the beats look. If someone wants to have headphones simply because they look cool, then by all means, go ahead. But SQ wise, you can get myriads better for a fraction of the cost. I hated the beats when I listened to them. But I love the M50's. Night and day difference. ...- FatalSylence

ATH M50 ringing sound on low volumes
I would go see an audiologist just to be sure. It sounds like you may have tinnitus. Not to worry, though, it can be annoying but you can learn to forget about it in time. Just take care of your hearing and it shouldn't get any worse. Also, the pulling you describe in your ears sounds like...- FatalSylence

Who's your least favorite musical artist?
Most mainstream singers. Lady GaGa, Katy Perry, etc. They're just so... Immoral. Gah! I just want music to be music, not some kind of strange religion.- FatalSylence

Anyone Suffering From Tinnitus?
I'd say don't worry about it. I was a special case. I was born with not so great ears. I actually had the drainage (tympanostomy) tubes once before when I was 2 years old. Then again when I was 12. Seriously though, those ear infections were some of the most painful experiences in my life...- FatalSylence
