Sennheiser HD660S... Finally a successor for the HD650?
Ignorance is bliss as they say. I don't blame you for wanting to do that, personally I've been cutting hifi out of my life for the past 6 months and only listening a few times per month instead of 4+ hours per day. It's not healthy obsessing like that and I was wasting too much time I could have...- Deftone

2020 off to a Good Start: Our New Wireless Headphones
Yes I'm know that but are you telling me sennheiser aren't interesting in hiring a new audiophile portfolio manager or even using axel grell still as a consultant? I find that hard to believe. It appears more likely they are just focusing on the mainstream wireless market from now on. High end...- Deftone

Sennheiser HD660S... Finally a successor for the HD650?
There's a reason vshaped sound is popular, it can be very engaging and fun when you're in the mood. That's why I pick up my cheap Senn iems that have more sub bass and more sparkly treble, great for rockin out and add excitwment to compressed music like it's artificially enhancing the dynamic...- Deftone

The 650 has the best potential for scaling but the 660 has the best sound without needing to scale so high, in my opinion of course.- Deftone

Sennheiser HD660S... Finally a successor for the HD650?
That's what I use mine for because it's the only type of music I like and metal. You do hear the bad recordings of course with this headphone but it's still enjoyable just like listening to them on 650. I enjoy the sugar coating.- Deftone

Sennheiser HD660S... Finally a successor for the HD650?
660S doesn't sound metallic at all. In regards to why I like 660S over 800S, it just comes down to the way I feel about music these days, sick over thinking and over worrying about sound quality. I also know there's no perfect headphones and you will only drive yourself mad trying to find...- Deftone

CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
It did me good being away from ad-fi for a few months, being on the forums everyday kept making me find faults with my headphones or equipment, always looking what could be improved next. Ha, because I really didn't want to spend almost a grand again on iems. The E400 really would have been good enough for my limited use of iems but that lack of depth really bothered me.- Deftone
