Tested the 940's out today and really loved them. I just did a quick test in-store with a few songs and was very impressed compared to other cans in and above that price range.

In the Ultrasone family , I have the HFI-780's and the bass on these is much more detailed than the IE8. IE8 at least to my ears was a bit on the boomy side depending on the song.
