The Road Less Taken To The Top Of The World
Quote: Yes, C-Money's solo stuff is pretty good. I love the John Brown's Body stuff too (wasn't that big a fan of the last record) and of course 10ft ganja plant I think has become one of my favorite reggae/dub bands. Stoopid has always been sort of hit or missing with me sound wise on...- Bombora

The Road Less Taken To The Top Of The World
For some reason I'm sort of shocked to see an article about Slightly Stoopid on head-fi. Very nicely done Mike. I've been a fan of them for years and still have my copy of their self titled cd. I've seen them probably around 6 or 7 times now and it's amazing how they have grown as a band.- Bombora

Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread
Quote: I've seen some odd things go on with cd's in the last few years too. Quality speaking, perhaps cheaper to cut cost. Then I think japan comes out with these SHM-CD pieces of sh%t, its the same crap plastic and you pay triple. Check out pbthal. If you find his rips and see something...- Bombora

Grado Fan Club!
I have a question and I figure this section would be the best place to ask. In the next year or so I'm going to set up a Grado rig. I have stanton turntable which I'm going to upgrade and throw a Blue prestige cartridge on. I will at some point down the line ditch this and upgrade to a...- Bombora

GRADO GR10: Reviews, First Impressions Thread
I've really been enjoying my se425's but feel there is something missing with them. I've been thinking seriously about upgrading to the 535. After reading this thread and being a fan of Grado's full size cans I'm really tempted to gets the 10s. Has anyone do this switch or how would you compare...- Bombora

Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread
Have a feeling it's no big upgrade or else they would have came with a completely new model (IE9). I was in J&R today here in nyc and asked the girl working the headphone section and she had no idea what I was talking about and nothing came on their computers about them either.- Bombora

Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread
I understand what you mean. What I mean is this, you speak of accuracy to the original recording. How does anyone know what the original recording sounds like? Unless your in that room while it was recorded. Even two people with the same setup will not hear the same exact thing. I agree that I...- Bombora

Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread
Quote: I think you can add this to any type of headphone, speaker, IEM, really anything that puts out sound. The only thing that throw's me off on this site is the whole balanced thing. Lot's of people and some more than other's will bash or not even listen to something that is...- Bombora

Shure SRH-940 Reviews and Appreciation Thread
Tested the 940's out today and really loved them. I just did a quick test in-store with a few songs and was very impressed compared to other cans in and above that price range.- Bombora

Quote: I use mine straight out of my ipod/iphone. I've never ran them with an amp but have tested them side by side with some higher end full size cans and they are amazing. worth the $ imo- Bombora

Stanton T.62 , upgrades and other components...
I've had this Stanton for a few years, and have a cheap pyle preamp I bought off amazon. I want to upgrade it a bit and get a better sound. I'm a really newbie when it comes to vinyl rigs and whatnot. I want to upgrade to a Grado green cartridge, or a blue. As far as pre-amps and amps go, this...- Bombora

Closed can for Folky/Acoustic/Jam band type music.
I've been looking at the Beyer DT 770 32ohms which I can get with the Blue Dragon cable from Moon Audio for around $400. I've read a bunch of good reviews on the 770 too. I wonder how much of a difference the Blue Dragon cable would make on a 32ohm can. Still looking, I have no idea what I want.- Bombora

Closed can for Folky/Acoustic/Jam band type music.
I've went through a bunch of like threads on others looking for like minded cans. I think I'm looking for something a little specific though. I'm looking for a closed can that would help with these types of genre's. However, I also do like quite a bit of reggae and also Jamband type stuff that...- Bombora

“Beats by Dr. Dre”
Quote: Ok, I'm new here but what in the hell does this post have to do with "Beats"? Sorry if I missed something. Ok, so a few months back, before I joined the site I went to J&R here in nyc and talked to to one of the audio guys about the type of headphone I was looking for. Without...- Bombora

How do the Ultrasone 900 and Pro 750's Compare to the sound of the Sennheier IE8 IEM?
In the Ultrasone family , I have the HFI-780's and the bass on these is much more detailed than the IE8. IE8 at least to my ears was a bit on the boomy side depending on the song. The 780's can pull off a big bass sound but also at the same time be very punchy and tight. I'm hopefully picking up...- Bombora

The House of Marley Headphones
Anyone else ready for these? I'm hearing they will be out in August. From recent video's some designs look different than whats on the site. I'm a huge reggae head, so I really hope that these do it justice. I'm going to get a set of the Prestige I think once the pre-order goes live. I'm not...- Bombora
