Mac OS X Leopard impressions thread
I haven't picked it up yet (going out right now!), but I thought I might as well start a thread about Leopard, since the two other relevant threads are either long and mostly on different topics or have a long-obsolete title. Mac users, share your impressions of Leopard!- Wodgy

Essential eBay fee calculator
John Krutke just turned me on to this website for figuring out quickly how much fees in total eBay+Paypal will charge you for selling an item: http://www.ebcalc.com/ It's somewhat eye-opening when you add everything (all the little fees) up. For instance, if you sell something for $1000 and...- Wodgy

Spork-fi
This thread is about love of sporks. I don't understand why they're not more popular, especially among bachelors. You've got half the cutlery to wash up, half to accidentally get knocked on the floor, etc. Yet, outside of Japan, you rarely find them in metal, re-usable versions. What's up with...- Wodgy

What is it with ringtones?
I just don't get the appeal of ringtones. I know I'm in the minority, given that last year's ringtone sales totalled $9 billion USD! That number is 45% of the total worldwide recorded music sales reported by the IFPI. Unbelievable to me. I understand the point of having a sound that...- Wodgy

Meridian (the guys who make the GO8 CDP and other high end gear) have announced an iPod dock: http://playlistmag.com/news/2007/09/...php?lsrc=mwrss The video upscaling seems like a gimmick, but could be a decent high-end line out dock.- Wodgy

Another Zune wireless limitation?
I was reading this review of the Zune: http://money.cnn.com/popups/2006/for...x.html?cnn=yes and came across this: Even though I purchased music from the Zune Marketplace, and even though I was willing to abide by the DRM's restriction of allowing three plays of a shared song within three...- Wodgy

Are there any DAC kits/PCBs that use the AD1896 ASRC?
I'm looking for a premade PCB or a kit for a DAC that uses an ASRC to reject jitter. I'd prefer the AD1896 since it's proven, but I'd consider the CS8420, CS8421, or SRC4192. Anyone know of any good PCBs/kits? I seem to remember a Chinese kit that used the AD1896, but I can't find it any more.- Wodgy
