I dont hear recessed mids on the TF10...although I will say that the TF10 is a totally different IEM when its run through and LOD, hooked to an amp like a cMoy and the stock cables are dumped for Westone ES sets

I don't have an issue with the fit...I have huge ears and the Comply largest tip is nearly too small. my issue is that my UE's come in and out of my ears quite a lot and the Comply tips wear out in under a month...and they're about $4 a set so over time customs would pay for themselves...

To my ear the recessed mids can be all but solved with a couple (if not one) simple mods to the headphone and the right amp. Even powered right off my ipod 3.5 jack (yuck) the mids are only recessed to me because I know they are....and sometimes I forget. Amped and out of the dock port the mids...

cMoy (JDS Labs) does wonders for mine....really opens the soundstage and instrument separation. Consider the PA2V2 as well (I felt the JDSLabs for my listening preference better)...$60 either way

I love the handy dandy rubber bands that you can use to attach amps to ipods....but I have my ipod in an iskin case with a belt clip for protection and because it hangs on my jeans for 10 hours a day at work. Anyone have rigs they've set up for something like this or ideas?
