Is anyone else using the moon audio silver dragon IEM cables v1 with the 2.5mm TRRS balanced rhodium straight connector? This connector has a little lip on it that stops the connector from going completely into the Onkyo DAP. Is this normal behavior? I've read atleast one other post on here...

Does anyone know if approx. 4 year old JH Audio IEMs will work with this thing using the balanced output? I don't remember for sure the model but it was one of the higher end custom IEM models. Maybe the 11 series. I read in the manual that it is only recommended to use headphones of 32 ohms up...

Trust me. The darkness is not with the V200. 

Putting up with the hiss I heard coming from the 720 while listening with the JH audio 13 pros was not worth it to me. So I returned the 720 and now use an amp with the 13 pros that has no noticeable hiss.

I have tested both the RSA intruder and the ALO international with the JH 13 pros and neither one had any noticeable hiss. The 720 had very noticeable hiss. 

Audio output mode does nothing to get the audio out in this manner. 

Any theorem you get will hiss exactly the same as the one you have now. If you don't want hiss buy the RSA intruder or the ALO international.

The hiss was not from the source but from the Theorem 720 as I verified by trying the exact same setup on another amp without any hiss. I was bothered by the hiss.The hiss was neither neutral nor livable for me. Which is why I sent the 720 back.

I don't know about lower but I used balanced out and the hissing was very noticeable.

I was very disappointed to hear that hiss is evident with IEMs when using the 720. I plan to use this with the JH Audio 13 pros. In my opinion there should be zero hiss with any headphones at this price point.

I have my galaxy s4 > OTG cable > AQ dragonfly > shure SE530's running with USB audio recorder pro and it sounds great. My question is: I was able to change the volume through but mixer tab. However, It seems as though the precision of the volume control with my setup leaves much to be desired...

That looks very close to what the OTG cable > AQ dragonfly looks like. They have combined them into one unit.

I bought a T&S Electronics Micro USB OTG Host cable and an audioquest dragonfly. I hooked up the OTG cable to the galaxy s4, the dragonfly to the OTG and my shure 530's to the dragonfly. I played back a song using poweramp and I don't hear anything. What am I doing wrong?

What type of cable do I need to connect the galaxy s4 to the dragonfly?

I will be using my galaxy s4. I didn't think the dragonfly was an amp/dac combo.

I'm looking for suggestions to be used during travel.
