++ FULL-SIZE HEADPHONE RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD++ CLOSED: Please post a thread in the Introductions, Help and Advice forum
Quote: First you have to do is estipulate how much you can spend on it. If you want to spend 200$ or more, I cant help you, because my researches reaches 150$. About that price tag (150$), I would go for ATH-M50 concerning its bass and quality. Not very keen of soundstaging, so, for...- aramis

Quote: In my opinion, having the "best Sennheiser under 100$" title, I would go for Senn's HD448. Some say Shure SRH440 lacks bass, others say its ok. You pretty much have to test it yourself to know. Check this url: http://www.headphone.com/rightbetweenyourears/?p=514 Hope it...- aramis

Quote: Hi man! I rather get HD448 than any of these. As someone said to me, Sony is all about boomy bass, not aiming on sound quality as much. The only doubt I still have is between HD280pro, HD448 and Shure SRH550DJ. They are all good choices, but researching I've found...- aramis

Sennheiser HD 448 vs 280
Someone reply to this. HD448 or HD280pro? I heard HD448 is the "best Senn's under 100$", but what about HD280pro? IMHO, If they are in the same sound quality level, I would prior to 280pro because of its bass. Researching about Shure SRH550DJ in the same price range. Someone? :)- aramis

I agree with you on that, evanstapler. HD598 is probably the best choice of those, concerning cost x benefit. Get yourself a FiiO E7 and be happy with them.- aramis

Quote: Hey man, I had a quite similar confusion about those headphones. IMO I would probably get M50 unamped. If you go for FiiO E7, the HD518 would be a good choice for $ (since 558 is quite expensive). Dont know though, just my personal opinion!- aramis

hmm. maybe I have fewer options, because of the budget. I know I won't have a good one with less then 100$... unquestionable. Can you list some for me?? As SweetLou remembered me, there is Sennheiser to consider ;) And forgot to say, I'm no 'basshead', don't really enjoy boomy bass, I...- aramis

okei.... so, I'm not an audiophile, and I'm thinking about getting one good isolated and comfortable closed circumaural headphone, mainly to play heavy and bassy musics, such as metal or electronic psytrance. My budget is about 90-100$. What would be good for me? I have considered...- aramis
