Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
Centrance HiFi M8 looks good, but a bit spendy. In this price range ($600-700) RSA SR 71B would be my choice. But I would like to stay under $400. My source is an iPod Classic 80GB and an Android LG G2 phone. Will report after my visit to Ray Samuels. Thanks.- kamenal

Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
I was thinking of a portable amp. Seems like RSA would be a good choice. I live 15 min from him, so I might stop by tomorrow and take a look. Thank you for your advice, A.K.- kamenal

Huge thread, hard to navigate. Can someone tell me, quickly, what is the consensus regarding the best portable amps for my new HD650? Looking at RSA Mustang P-51, Leckerton UHA 6S Mk2 and such. Much appreciated.- kamenal

Upgrade path form ER 4P and Ortofone EQ7.
Immensely enjoying both: Etys for travel and Orto for home. However the upgraditis is kiking in. Personally I prefer the Ortos for "jucier", more spacous sound. I listen to classical 90% of the time. Is the next step - customs? I would like to stay below $400 US. Thank you for your thoughts.- kamenal

What after Etys ER 4P?
Thank you for your replies. I guess I will stay with the Etys. How the sound is going to change , when they are converted from P to S? Is there any difference between a 3 year old and a recent ER 4P(S)? Thanks.- kamenal

What after Etys ER 4P?
My beloved Etys ER 4P need replacement. I like everything about them: SQ, isolation and even comfort. Short of going with a new pair of the same, would you recommend some other in ear phones? Is there any difference between Etys, purchased 3 years ago, compared to current version? I listen to...- kamenal

iPod classic and ?IEM
To my ears my old 4G iPod sounded much better with the UE Studio 3.0 without an amp. I was thinking of returning my new iPod Classic untill I've heard it with the Senns+Hornet and also unamped PortaPros. The UE was a different story, just a bad SQ. The question remains - which IEM gives a lush...- kamenal

iPod classic and ?IEM
I've just got an iPod Classic. It sounds good with my HD600+Hornet and my PortaPros. However, when I tried my UE Studio 3.0 the sound was terrible, tinny and flat. Any recommendations on a IEM for the iPod Classic to obtain a fullbodied sound? I listen to classical music mostly. Thank you for...- kamenal

Ipod as a source....Am I killing my music?
I've put together a very decent portable (around the house) rig: iPod 4G+Hornet M+HD600+ALO Cryo Dock. From my limited experience (I am not a techie) I understand, that the weakest link in my rig is AAC encoding and I've ripped a few good quality CDs in lossless just to see how it is. The...- kamenal

Sennheiser HD600/HD580 as resting place?
After getting a Hornet from Ray I was in search of synergetic phones, however, Ray recommended an HD600. As of yesterday I have finally settled with: iPod 4G (soon to be re-ripped with lossless), Hornet M, HD600 and ALO Cryo Dock. Sounds VERY good.- kamenal

Meier Corda Move details released
Tried different variations of Move, Hornet, HD600, K701 and K501. When I've listened to a Symphonie Fantasique the only combo, which gave me goosebumps was Move+K501. Any comments from classical music lovers?- kamenal

Do they need an amp-HD 555
I am in need of a quick advice. I need to make a birthday gift for my friend. Will an HD555 work with an iPod unamped for classical? Or should I go with something else? Your response is much appreciated.- kamenal

portable amp for hd 600
I've just picked up a Hornet from Ray (I live 15 min. away from him). Great guy! We had a little chat and he recommended an HD600 for classical, which is what I listen to the most. And then he let me listen to his new Apache+HD600. WOOOOW!!!- kamenal

iBasso T2 problem
I've been using my new iBasso T2 for a month now with no problem. I took it to Mexico (very hot and humid!), where I went on vacations. While there, the following thing has developed. While plugging in my Etys ER-4P, I would intermittently lose one channel with appearence of loud static noise...- kamenal
