I use the LCD2s in bed w/ no problems.  But maybe that means my head is way too big.  In all seriousness, I do prop the pillows below the point that they would envelope the open vents for the 'phones.

It took quite a while for me to get my xlr to rsa interconnect. It wasn't until I got his personal (Craig?) that I got a r esponse. And then it took another week after that.

I Recommend that you include a dac in your audio chain. Without going through either my Cambridge 840c or the algorhythm solo, the sound quality improvement may be limited.

I completely agree that the supertips are worthless.  I tend to use 3rd party tips w/ these IEMs.  For me the Sennheiser double flanges or comfy tips work best.

I have the HD 650s and the LCD2s, both bought new.  The sound quality for the LCD2s may not be double (as the price clearly is) that of the HD 650s, but I still think that they were worth spending the money.  I think it all is a matter of what kind of expectation and how much your budget would...

I use the LCD2s w/ the ALO audio cable, balanced to the SR-71Bs and then balanced again to a Cambridge 840c.  There is a significant difference in soundstaging and clarity compared to running the entire signal chain in single-ended mode.

I ordered my LCD2 from ALO Audio and did not incur any customs charges in Taiwan.

I listen mostly to Dave Matthews band as well. In addition to Crash, Big Whiskey and the Groogrux King is an excellent studio album. As for the live performances, Live Trax 7, from Hampton Coliseum is the best in terms of set list and sound quality.

I have both the new ALO Audio and Silver Dragon cables for the LCD2.  The silver dragon cable is markedly brighter and more airy on the treble end of the spectrum.  But I significantly prefer the ALO Audio cable for most of the music I listen to-- Dave Matthews Band, Phish, House/Electronica music.

They do come with supertips.  There are two different sizes included.  I'm not a big fan as the smaller ones fall out easily due to the weight and the bigger ones are not much better.  I prefer using Sennheiser double flanges or comfy tips.

I picked it up last month.  ALO audio ships to Taiwan.  It is a fantastic headphone.
