    Ultrasone Fan Club! (Roll Call)

Looks great to me and it makes them so portable. I can plug in a 1.5m cable and it's go time.

Are you a console or PC gamer?

Received a Miyoo Mini Plus from my daughter at Christmas and been having a ton of fun with it. Tossed the stock 64GB card in the trash (pure junk), installed a Samsung EVO 128 GB, Onion OS and the Tiny Best Sets. Now I'm looking at handhelds from Retroid, Anbernic and AYN... 😂

Little Dot Tube Amps: Vacuum Tube Rolling Guide

My first guess would be the 3 feet of wire connecting the tube that's causing the hum. 😉

    Vape-Fi

Vaping leaves a film on things, but it's not anywhere as bad as tobacco smoke tar. So it's really all up to you. I can't see it hurting stuff, but I've never fogged out a room without some sort of ventilation going.

Dug out a blast from the past, the good old HohmTech Slice. Anyone remember this and the Hohm Wrecker G2? They were the only mods that could Temperature Control any wire and they actually did a very good job at it once you got the settings all tweaked and tuned.

Putting a tube in your freezer does NOT make it a cryo treated tube... Give this a read... https://www.effectrode.com/knowledge-base/cryogenic-treatment-of-tubes-an-engineers-perspective/

Little Dot Tube Amps: Vacuum Tube Rolling Guide

Considering the post is 13 years old and Head-Fi went through a major forum software change a few years back. I suspect it was lost in the conversion.

Looks like a ton of work for some questionable gains, but to each their own.

Since your not feeding into a DC power amp you should be fine. I would do as mordy suggests and resolder the pins on that tube.

Very generous offer! Would love to have them but there are others who would probably put them to better use. :beerchug:

I don't see any problem doing that with your spare amp.

Little Dot Tube Amps: Vacuum Tube Rolling Guide

I never plug my headphones in before turning it on, it is an OTL amplifier it doesn't need a load like transformer amps do. I power on the MK IV, let it warm up for 5 minutes then plug my headphones in. Increase the volume from zero and enjoy. When tuning the amp off I set the volume back to...

Yes you can with an adapter. Never do the opposite by plugging an unbalanced cable into a balanced output.

Probably after a thousands of connections... If your actually worried, get a balanced to 6.35mm adapter for the end of your balanced cable.

    Best gaming controller

I use mine everyday, never an issue. My Switch controller collection. The Micro is my latest addition, grabbed it as a novelty keychain controller and it actually works quite well.

Are you a console or PC gamer?

When I'm away from home I bring a 26800mAh RavPower USB C PD battery pack with me and it gives me 12 hours of playtime on the Switch. There are smaller battery packs that will attach to the back of handheld consoles for extra runtime. I picked up the PD pack as it will fully power the Switch...

You remove the bottom of the LDMk2 and everything is right there. The red circles are your EF95/EF92 jumpers and the blue circles are the gain dip switches. If you don't have a manual for the amp a quick Google search should bring up a PDF of one. (Base image courtesy of WCCFTECH)

The plastic is really soft so I used a drill bit that was a little bit smaller than the diameter of the socket. (You can turn the drill by hand it's that soft.). Then I expanded the hole a little at a time by turning a flat blade screwdriver in the hole until the socket had a snug fit.

I don't have a step by step but a meter will quickly tell you where the wires go inside. You can purchase 3.5mm TRS sockets to fit in the original cable hole but I repurposed a TRS to RCA adapter. Cut the plastic away from the cable socket, unsolder the existing wires and make the cup hole...

Not without using modified socket savers and an external power source for the heaters. They are not worth the time or effort IMHO.
