    Shure 425 or 535?

I have the Shure SE420 and SE535Ltd Red. The SE420s sound flatter and more accurate / analytical which may suit some tastes in listening. The 535s are more fun and engaging. I have read the 425 is very similar to the 420 in terms of sound. Hope this helps somewhat.

Brimar Audio cables for Shure SE 535 earphones?

I didn't get anything, yet. The reason is I have not been back to Thailand since the last time I went to Jet Live Audio in March 2013. I wanted to audition them first.   I did audition the SE535 Ltd Red with the Oyaide HPC SE Red cable the last time I was there. It sounded very good.  ...

Iphone 5 and shure 535 acs custom sleeves and ? Dac/ amp?

I have the Shure SE535 Ltd-J Red which I bought earlier this year and I also got the JDS C5 Amp and an ALO Audio CRYO SXC-18 Line out dock and I have to say the sound coming out of this setup together with an iPod Classic is a considerable improvement over listening to the SE535 Ltd straight out...

Shure SE535 with JDS Labs C5 - high or low gain setting

I have a JDS C5 and Shure SE535 Ltd Edition and I listen to them on the low gain setting on the C5. Reason is the SE 535's are considered as one of the most sensitive (easy to drive) IEM's from Shure. I could go into a more technical explanation, but that about sums it up.

Brimar Audio cables for Shure SE 535 earphones?

I have been considering getting the Oyaide HPC-SE cable for my Shure SE 535 Red (Special Edition) that I purchased earlier this year.     Link here:  http://www.jetliveaudio.com/product/825901/Oyaide%20HPC-SE%20cable%20for%20Shure,%20Logitech%20UE,%20Ultrasone.html   However - I have now...

Who has an end game setup?

I nearly completed my "end-game" setup while on vacation in Thailand in March. While I was there I bought the Shure SE535 Red Limited edition, the iBasso D-Zero DAC, the JDS Labs C5 Amp in Red, and the ALO Audio CRYO SXC 18 Line out dock. I have an iPod Classic 80gb and an iPhone 4S. I also have...

Shure SE846: A New In-Ear Flagship From Shure. Finally! (Impressions p26-28)

I also own the JDS C5; bought it at Munkonggadget in Thailand just a couple months ago :) at the same time I bought the Shure SE535 Ltd. I am really enjoying this setup but am keen to know if the C5 will be a good partner for the 846 so anyone who has the opportunity to try these together please...

Shure SE846: A New In-Ear Flagship From Shure. Finally! (Impressions p26-28)

So regarding the talk in the last few pages about amps; I am interested to know if the JDS C5 would be a good amp choice for the SE 846? Sent via iPhone using Tapatalk

Shure SE846: A New In-Ear Flagship From Shure. Finally! (Impressions p26-28)

As an audio enthusiast that has been faithful to the Shure brand over the years; starting with the SE210 4 years ago, graduating to the SE420 a year later, and finally taking (what I thought was) the final plunge this year in getting the Limited Edition Red SE535-J, I would say my feeling on...

Quote:   Hey Jude, great job on the video review on these BTW. You pretty much nailed it. I am interested to know: having just bought the SE535 Limited Edition (Asian version), how much of a difference is there sonically between the new SE846 and the SE535 Ltd-J? I know it might be...

    portable dac/amp suggestions?

iBasso D-Zero is great. I have had it for 2 months and love it   http://lewisleong.com/review-ibasso-d-zero-portable-dac-and-amp/   http://headfonics.com/2011/09/the-ibasso-d-zero-think-small-real-small/   http://yklee118.blogspot.com/2012/05/ibasso-d-zero-dacamp-short-review.html

what is the best portable headphone amp/ dac for the ath m50's

Quote:   +1 for the JDS Labs C5. Its awesome.   Also the iBasso D-Zero is pretty good as a portable amp, and very good as a DAC from a computer or laptop. I use this for listening to my SE 535 Ltd from my MacBook Pro and it is excellent.   Had both for just 2 months and couldnt be...

Shure SE846: A New In-Ear Flagship From Shure. Finally! (Impressions p26-28)

It will be interesting to hear what the actual sonic differences are between these new Shure SE846's and the Asian Red Limited Edition SE535's. Looking forward to hearing opinions once the reviews and comparisons start. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Shure SE846: A New In-Ear Flagship From Shure. Finally! (Impressions p26-28)

These do look cool - but at that price I'm certainly not going to be running out to get these, especially having just had my Asian Red Ltd Edition 535's for two months. Along with the JDS C5 portable Amplifier and ALO Cryo SXC 18 line out dock I bought at the same time. Perhaps these could be on...

Looking for an amp for SE535 se

I think it's not necessary for you to go for everything at once; the only reason I did was because I live in South Africa and we get hardly anything here of what I was able to get in the Far East. I went with the intention of buying the SE535 Red limited edition and the iBasso D-Zero. The JDS C5...

Looking for an amp for SE535 se

I will just say in response instead of writing a long paragraph about sound characteristics; that I've had the Shure SE210 and SE420 and last month I was in Thailand I auditioned and bought the SE535 LTD-J Asian Red special edition. I was blown away by their sound quality. This was even more...

    Portable amp for travel

Review on D-Zero: http://lewisleong.com/review-ibasso-d-zero-portable-dac-and-amp/ In there it states that the T5 is a better standalone amp - but the D-Zero has its advantages as a combo unit with a great DAC chip inside as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Amp for dedicated use with an iPhone or Galaxy S

A DAC is really meant for listening from a computer or laptop, to bypass the internal sound card / sound components on board. An Amp is the way to go for using an iPhone, iPod or portable listening device. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Amp for dedicated use with an iPhone or Galaxy S

The JDS labs C5 is anything but bulky. If you want to go any smaller than that, then the D-Zero would be an option as a portable amp which would also double as a DAC for use with a laptop or a desktop computer. And a good one...

Amp for dedicated use with an iPhone or Galaxy S

I bought the iBasso D-Zero to use as a DAC from my MacBook. But the JDS C5 is much better as a stand alone amp, hence the reason I went with that for portable use. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
