    Best IEM tips?

I’d think that as long as the ear tip doesn’t fall off the IEM it’s not a bad idea. But, some IEM nozzles are so short, or have uniquely placed lips or ridges, so I think it would depend on the IEM and the ear tip.

    Anyone into crossfeed?

As far as I can tell, it can be done - as long as you are running Roon on a Mac or PC (at least with APL Virtuoso, which I think is actually the better of the two programs I mentioned). If you scroll down on this page I'm linking to, someone posted how they do it, with some very helpful...

    Best IEM tips?

I had a very similar problem, and I actually found the best fit using the tips that came with them, but I used a small o-ring as a spacer so that the tip didn't slide all the way to the base, allowing it to sort of be longer, providing a deeper fit. One pic is with the tip inverted just so...

    Anyone into crossfeed?

I’m not sure if they’ve been mentioned here yet, but I think some of the software options have gotten quite good, recently. I find that dSoniQ Realphones 2.0, and APL Virtuoso, to be the best of the bunch.

Do you know of anywhere to purchase Radius tips in the US besides eBay? I've never seen them anywhere here.

    Best IEM tips?

The ORIGIN is my current favorite out of all the AZLA models, but I am someone who prefers my eartips to have as ling of a stem as possible. These have the same long stem length as the original SednaEarfit. While the opening that faces your ear seems about the same diameter, the end of the...

    Best tips for shallow IEMs

The AZLA Origins have a long stem, and are great for short stemmed IEMs. Radius Deep Mount are also great but harder to get in the US.

Blon in ear monitors impressions thread

Etymotic ER-2 series has excellent resolution for a single dynamic driver, and is around $100. I’m not saying this BLON will achieve that, just that it’s certainly possible to be done with a dynamic driver.

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...

That makes sense as the ERX uses the same (but slightly retuned) driver as the ER4XR, and the EVO, I believe, uses three drivers.

Reply to review by 'Gorktastick' on item 'HIFIMAN Sundara Closed-Back'

While, I certainly appreciate the technical aspects of your review, I feel compelled to compliment your writing! You possess a particularly rare ability to communicate your ideas with simplicity and levity, while also demonstrating your mastery of the written word, all without coming across as...

    Audeze SINE Series

I found the opposite to be true (I'm only speaking about the Sine closed back). I could never get even remotely enough power, even from the Cipher cable that came with it. So I emailed Audeze, and they responded saying that the Sine does need a fair amount of power, and that they recommended...

    Best IEM tips?

Ha! We really are in the same boat - I had all those same thoughts about custom molds, and decided against them for the same reasons. And I also found the BL-03 to be a really pain trying to fit. I bought the BL-05 right when it came out, and I actually had much better luck with the fit than...

    Best IEM tips?

That sounds like a smart plan. Like I said, worst care scenario is you wind up waiting and still paying $100. I have spent $20 just on buying expensive 3rd party eartips for other IEMs MANY times, and still didn't get the fit I wanted. I can't tell you how many times I eagerly awaited the...

    Best IEM tips?

I have tried those, and their newer Crystal ones, and all of the other Sedna tips. The problem is the Xelastecs and similar ones don't have the longer stems that their regular silicone tips do. And to solve this issue, we need deeper insertion, not only larger and grippier. If they ever come...

    Best IEM tips?

I'd say even at $100 it's a great value. BUT - there are multiple sellers on amazon. I saw it there, just 3 days ago, for $85. Even still, I don't think there is any competition for it unless you spent far more on custom shells. And, because I seem to have a similar problem that you do, I...

    Best IEM tips?

I own the ER-2XR and ER-4XR, and love them both. I like that the 2 is a dynamic driver, and the 4 is a balanced armature, so it's nice to have the contrast, sometimes. There are a few versions of the ER-2 packaging, online, and I HIGHLY recommend making sure that you make sure whichever one...

    Best IEM tips?

Which IEMs are you using? I have very similar issues, and I have found that found that the shorter the stem of the IEM, the worse this problem becomes. The only way I have ever been able to even remotely get most IEMs to fit is by having to basically cut my own stem-lengtheners from silicone...

    Audeze SINE Series

It definitely needs a fair amount of power. I even messaged Audeze a few months ago, asking the same thing, and they confirmed that they do, indeed, need a good amount. I can't even get remotely enough power from the Cipher cable that came with it, which is pretty lame, considering the...

    Radsone EarStudio ES100

Yes! The guy who designed the ES100 actually started his own company and makes a competing product, that has a better EQ and it has crossfeed. It's called the Qudelix 5k.
