The New Brainwavz S3 “Silver Bullet” Earphones with Clearwavz Remote & Microphone

Well, we like the same types of music, so thats a thing, and I do realize that many on here are preferring the Jive's sig to these...but they aren't the same IEM's, not at all. I like them both for different reasons. I like the Jive for it's well done all around goodness, it just works...

The New Brainwavz S3 “Silver Bullet” Earphones with Clearwavz Remote & Microphone

Yep, Razzer stated this will be the last in the series, and IMHO, it's the best. YMMV, of course

The New Brainwavz S3 “Silver Bullet” Earphones with Clearwavz Remote & Microphone

You simply have to base what you're reading here on what the folks on here are into listening to, I like Rock and Opera for instance, so a good soundstage and good instrument separation are paramount to me, hence my take on this. Everyone is going to be different, judge on what you like to hear.

The New Brainwavz S3 “Silver Bullet” Earphones with Clearwavz Remote & Microphone

...and that's YOUR experience. I'm using these more than 150 hours now, the tips make a pretty profound difference to my ears, and also many others on here. The sound can go from thinner to beefier, up to the bore size and type of tips you're using. Lot's of IEM's also do this. Some are more...

The New Brainwavz S3 “Silver Bullet” Earphones with Clearwavz Remote & Microphone

Haha, good one  These are obviously very tip dependant, with the right set, you get either a very bassy sig or a more neutral-ish one, and that's with the included tips. Good for folks who like to roll their own sound. Still liking the stock tips that were installed out of the box myself, to...

The New Brainwavz S3 “Silver Bullet” Earphones with Clearwavz Remote & Microphone

Well said, dweaver, I hope some folks on here read this...though I doubt it will matter to most sadly. Still, good shot at explaining how to do this.

The New Brainwavz S3 “Silver Bullet” Earphones with Clearwavz Remote & Microphone

Couldn't agree more. I never said any of this didn't belong on this thread, just keep it out of the reviews unless stating, CLEARLY, that you used other tips, or used other means other than what was included in the box, to come to your conclusion.

The New Brainwavz S3 “Silver Bullet” Earphones with Clearwavz Remote & Microphone

Well said. That was my point, actually. But unfortunately, that will NOT happen on so many reviews on these, they will simply say what tips they liked, like big bore for instance, not say that they don't come in the package, and folks will but this thinking it will, and BLAME BRAINWAVZ for not...

The New Brainwavz S3 “Silver Bullet” Earphones with Clearwavz Remote & Microphone

Seriously doubt it  As for tips, I like tip rolling with tips I have lying around, but my review will not in any way include said results because how can I, or any consumer, expect to have the tips you found to work so perfectly? The included ones are all that matter in a review, period. You...

The New Brainwavz S3 “Silver Bullet” Earphones with Clearwavz Remote & Microphone

....sigh.... As expected, you completely missed the entire point of that post....and I'm not going to waste my time trying to explain it to you. If you don't get it just reading it, you never will. You got FIT outta that...seriously??

The New Brainwavz S3 “Silver Bullet” Earphones with Clearwavz Remote & Microphone

Well.... I've been holding off on saying anything about what I've seen so far on these over the past weekend. It seems that no one on here, except for me and maybe one other, like the sound straight out of the box. I am a fan of EQing, no doubt, but I'm also doing a review here and am not...

The New Brainwavz S3 “Silver Bullet” Earphones with Clearwavz Remote & Microphone

Yep I love the smaller y- splitter, the other ones looked bulbous and just out of place...but they were sturdy as they get, I tried and tried to break 'em, wasn't gonna happen. Here's to hoping the replacements are just as strong.

The New Brainwavz S3 “Silver Bullet” Earphones with Clearwavz Remote & Microphone

Then do you mind if I ask you a question? Why did you sign on to review the S3's if all the other S series aren't what you like to hear or review? Sounds like you were setting yourself up to be disappointed, lol. I'd skip over the next in the series if I were you

The New Brainwavz S3 “Silver Bullet” Earphones with Clearwavz Remote & Microphone

Hmmmm, no. the S3's are a somewhat neutral sounding IEM, with a bit more emphasis on the lower and higher end to make its signature more palatable to the masses(a true neutral signature is not many's cup o tea either). Most all of the better manufacturers do this as, whether you like it or not...

The New Brainwavz S3 “Silver Bullet” Earphones with Clearwavz Remote & Microphone

...or you just might have to face the facts: These ain't your cup o tea. No one can like every single thing that crosses their path. I'm a veteran reviewer in tech, over 2000 articles under my belt, and I've given so many "not in the greatest light" reviews I've lost count. No one is expecting...

The New Brainwavz S3 “Silver Bullet” Earphones with Clearwavz Remote & Microphone

In looks, yes, similar. In sound, nope. Better sound stage here, with a bit more low end. Different enough to recommend these over the S1's, at least to me.

The New Brainwavz S3 “Silver Bullet” Earphones with Clearwavz Remote & Microphone

I've played around with every type of tip I have, from Sony Hybrid, to the stock hybrids, to the comply's...I found myself right back to stock, it just sounds the best to me. Tip rolling is fun, but you honestly don't need to on the S3's to get their best sound, great for folks who just want to...

The New Brainwavz S3 “Silver Bullet” Earphones with Clearwavz Remote & Microphone

Yep, I have the newer ones, that's the reason I said earlier that they are good  As for the sound, give them time to burn in, you'll like them even more.

S5 definitely. It's a rubbery, but well relieved, cable. Looks tough to me as well

The New Brainwavz S3 “Silver Bullet” Earphones with Clearwavz Remote & Microphone

I don't know folks, I'm going to say the bass is just fine here, using the standard smoked hybrid tips included. Bass heads won't complain, that's for sure. It's neither lacking nor muddy, just right for the signature presented. Mids are fine, highs are also fine. There really is no lacking here...

The New Brainwavz S3 “Silver Bullet” Earphones with Clearwavz Remote & Microphone

Just remove it, shouldn't be too hard..Wonder how it got on there, maybe it's some wax or something, these are polished after all.

The New Brainwavz S3 “Silver Bullet” Earphones with Clearwavz Remote & Microphone

Well then, could be an issue after all, my bad, just haven't seen it on mine, and I used every single tip in the box, lol. Here's to hoping they can be put back on easily...Krazy Glue is your friend here

The New Brainwavz S3 “Silver Bullet” Earphones with Clearwavz Remote & Microphone

Well, to be honest, almost all dynamics at this price point are tuned pretty much alike, it's the way a dynamic is supposed to sound actually. Good soundstage, punchy bass, decent mids, strong highs---it's a formula that works great. What Brainwavz does is to make different price levels, with...

The New Brainwavz S3 “Silver Bullet” Earphones with Clearwavz Remote & Microphone

Funny, I don't at all think it's too bassy, just the right amount for a dynamic actually. And I have a sneaking suspicion that that bass sig is gonna calm down a bit and sound even better after full burn in. As long as it isn't killing the rest of the signature, and it isn't, not at all, I'm...
