For the time being, my best headphone is the Bowers & Wilkins P5, which certainly has its merits but may not be the most neutral phone in its price range. Eventually I will buy something which allows me to get closer to the actual sound of a recording. Ultimately I want to have a real high end...

A side note on burn-in. My experiences with building a wooden chassis for my headphone amplifier suggest, that play-in of the chassis may significantly change the sound reproduction. A topic that might be worth more investigation.
