I look forward to your definitive review. They are nice looking. The question will be how they compare to other planars such as anything in the LCD series or HiFiman 500+ series. Otherwise 400 to 500 USD seems like an overreach.

I wanted to know if anyones converted their open LCD or Monoprice headphones to closed back. Does Audeze sell justthe cups? Also, If you could get some cups, what would be a good material to help seal in the sound?

2 companies have started selling modified TrP 50 headphones. Between 300 and 700. Ive owned Thunderpants, unmodded trp50, and lcd2. Nothing compared to the lcd2. I was displeased with the Fostex sound. Small, lacking bass, mundane. Id never own another pair. Just my experience.

It doesn't seem to matter what I use now, all USB audio sounds equally terrible. The motherboard is an Asus, it was $450.00. Is it possible the sabre tried to draw too much power and something on the board shorted out? I've used the windows 8 refresh option now and It didn't help.

This just started after I plugged in the Sabre Dac. I think some kind of audio drivers took a dump. everything is straight out of the motherboard or USB port. Theres no chain for anything to go through. music players are itunes, foobar, windows media player.

These are the high end bargains of the century. Forget $2000 orthodynamics that require $600+ amps to sound good. Grab some of these, pair them with a quality DAC and don't look back. Nothing sounds like electrostatics.

Yes, I too, realized that no one is selling these new for $200.00. These chinese scam sites have been on the internet for many years. They like to use consumer elctronics such as audio gear, TVs, Cameras, and cellphones.

You're talking about splitting off one of the channels after it leaves the DAC? Such as getting a splitter and using it to split off either the left or right channel, feeing part of that signal to the subwoofer?   Quote:
