Amps that can drive the HiFiMan HE-6 planar headphones

My personal opinion based solely on your quoted power rating is not to the HE6's fullest potential; they would, however, probably sound pretty good and I doubt you could find a headphone amp in the A90's price range that would come close to the A90; and although you could well find a used...

    >Started this long journey with a crystal radio ... Just curious, a crystal radio that was self-powered and used hollow coil inductor with a ferrite rod that was moved up and down the coil to tune AM stations?

How are you using it? Did you try running it with a powered USB port? Although I have yet to try the 4 pin XLR out or using the CUBE as a straight DAC by feeding it a digital signal through the USBC port, the Bluetooth and two other analog out ports (TRS and TRRS) will not run down the battery...

    1. You need a cigarette lighter voltage converter that reduces the car's 12-14V DC to 5V DC and a USB A to USB C cable (like the one that came with your KANN CUBE). 2. Go to Amazon or some other electronics retailer and search for: Adaptive Fast Charging Wall Charger Adapter Compatible Samsung...

    HifiMAN HE-6 Planar Magnetic Headphone

I prefer my Threshold 400A, factory upgraded to e Series specs, with an LDR passive preamp between the 400A and source.

Yes, if you don't use the amps the battery runs down substantially less than if you do. Sometimes more than one person wants to listen and in this situation, the Bluetooth works quite well with little battery drain. I've also found that you can use the 3 pole TRS output to connect to car stereos...

The manual says to plan on connecting an external power source if you are using the amp in High Gain mode. Your IEM/Headphone efficiency will have the biggest effect on battery life. Without having tried Line Out yet, I've found Bluetooth, which also doesn't use the amps, has the longest battery...

Amps that can drive the HiFiMan HE-6 planar headphones

Try Monoprice.com or Amazon for the LP. For another headphone amp that can be found in that price range, I'd also consider a used Auralic Taurus MKII. The best performance in that range, however, will generally come from a vintage speaker amp/receiver <= 85 watts @ 8 Ohms but they tend to be...
