I had some problems with a DF purchased a few months ago, read some posts on other forums that they had qc issues perhaps in their earlier units. Sent it back to dealer and got a replacement today. Now I get no audio whatsoever.   I tried it on two windows machines aside from my linux box...

The screw holding the driver cover is an old style two hole or security screw.   Anyone know the size and/or where to get a two hole screwdriver for these?

the plastic shell that holds the right driver has a small crack in it near where the wire comes in. symptoms are buzz/rattle with anything bassy.   looks like beyer does not sell just the cups or shells, only drivers and pads.   is it worth trying to fix these or are they beyond help.

im on an hp netbook/linux. already tried all 3 usb ports, same problem with all three. tried a right angle usb adaptor too, that didn't help.

that's a good site, but i am looking for an actual music PLAYER that fits the bill, not the hard drive.   a DAP that plays FLAC and accepts a 1.8" micro sata drive.
