The FiiO X3 2nd gen (ex X3K, X3II) Thread : 192K/24B, CS4398,Native DSD, USB DAC with LO and inline remote

^ I set the PC output to 100% and regulate the volume on the fiio. With the Momentum On-Ear I rarely go over 60, an with the Vsonic GR07 Bass Edition I'm around 50.   Quote: Fantastic. Thank you, didn't know of this. I'll try the cutting method since it works exactly for my needs.

The FiiO X3 2nd gen (ex X3K, X3II) Thread : 192K/24B, CS4398,Native DSD, USB DAC with LO and inline remote

Guys, why does the volume go so low when I activate the EQ? It goes down the equivalent of 10 volume steps, easily. I really like the sound signature of the player, but since the only headphones available to me right now are the Sennheiser Momentum On-Ear, EQ is a must. However when I turn the...

DIY Cable Questions and Comments Thread

Hey guys, I have two IEMs that need rewiring: Old Klipsch S4 and Vsonic GR07 Bass Edition. I am lost in this rewiring world though, so I'd love if you could help me. What do I need to buy? Where can I buy it (I'm in Italy)? Additionally, I could use some tutorials on how to open up the IEMs. Thanks!

Vsonic GR07: Perfection (Added MKII vs Bass Edition 24/03)

Get them inside your ears. It is perfectly healthy and it is also the only way you'll get good sound from IEMs. The GR07s are great IEMs, I'm loving my BE. Try to change some tips and don't be afraid to stick it all the way in, that's how it's supposed to be.

Vsonic GR07: Perfection (Added MKII vs Bass Edition 24/03)

I bought the GR07 BE. Price on lendmeurears was too good, plus, I got free shipping. I decided on BE because I wanted something more fun than my AD900, hopefully I'll get what I want.   I ignored all of your suggestions, I'm sorry lol. I found the price to be incredible for the IEMs I bought...

    The ATH-AD900 Thread

Don't worry, my pleasure. If you want me to try more samples, let me know. Also, you can move the EQ around a little bit on the bass area, it gives the headphones a warmer touch. Make no mistake, though, they don't become bass monsters, but it helps them sound better, especially for electronic...

    The ATH-AD900 Thread

First song sounds ok, things do get a little messy by the middle of the song, but you can follow most of the sounds easily. Second song is a mess. Sounds really bad. Thing is, both songs have a pretty poor recording quality, so i don't know if any headphones could help.   Quote: Parks...

Would you recommend the purchase of this device, as it is now? I'm reading it has a lot of issues, but I really need a new DAP, since my Clip+ is on its last legs.

Vsonic GR07: Perfection (Added MKII vs Bass Edition 24/03)

Between MKII and BE, which one would be the better choice for music like Jamie Cullum, Diana Krall, Aerosmith, Michael Buble, Frank Sinatra, flamenco in general, bossa nova, Michael Jackson, maybe some Usher, Maroon 5 and Incubus? I'd be using either a RB'd Clip+ or a FiiO X3 My reference...

[Impression] FiiO X3 – High Fi, Low Price.

It would be great to have Rockbox on the X3. I will certainly miss the tons of options Rockbox offers.

How's the quality of the 3.5mm jack? I have the Audio Technica AD900, and since the plug is so heavy and large, it ends up breaking a little soldering spot on my Clip+'s 3.5mm jack, so I get sound cuts. I don't want X3's to end up breaking, is it sturdy enough?

April release? Holy crap! Will it be Rockbox compatible? That's an amazing price-point for the hardware you're selling.

IEMs for ~$170 for acoustical recordings. Help needed! (Vsonic GR07? UE Triplefi 10?)

Now that you speak of well recorded guitars, which albums do you suggest? It's really hard to find well-recorded music at times.

IEMs for ~$170 for acoustical recordings. Help needed! (Vsonic GR07? UE Triplefi 10?)

Thank you both! I've read that before, seems like the GR07 are a pretty amazing choice. And I got my soundstage needs covered with the AD900, so no problem there.   Do they need to be amped? I see the impedance on the GR07 is 50 ohms, and 44.5 for the MK2. Remember my source is a Clip+.

IEMs for ~$170 for acoustical recordings. Help needed! (Vsonic GR07? UE Triplefi 10?)

I'm looking for a new set of IEMs. They would be powered with my Sansa Clip+. I mostly listen to acoustical recordings (Diana Krall, Sinatra, Liebert, Tallest Man on Earth, Fatou Diawara, and similar), so I want something that really shines with this kind of music.   My other IEMs are the...
