Just got the Lokius, but I'm curious how much difference those big nickel testes would make on the actual sound quality. The preset saving feature is definitely interesting in itself, though.

Not sure if it was because of the defect, or if there's been a silent revision, but I am finding the bass controls noticeably better on the new unit (had some distortion when cranked all the way up on the first unit, not on this one).

Can confirm the knobs have changed. Just got the replacement for my faulty unit, and the knobs are larger (you don't see the recess in the chassis anymore), and the level indicator is now a dot rather than a line. Also, I can't help but feel like the original unit I got had black anodizing all...

The first switch selects between XLR and RCA input, and outputs it both unbalanced and balanced.

Got my unit today...welp. I auditioned it for about 30 minutes, after which it just died out of the blue. Tested the power adapter, 18.2VAC output, a bit high for the 14-16VAC rating on the Lokius, but enough to burn the unit? In any case, kinda disappointing QA didn't catch this one before...

I got the same knobs in glossy black; they don't look much different to the matte ones.

I placed an order for one last week and it's already shipped, despite the 6-8 weeks indicated on the product page.

Are those replacement knobs the glossy or matte version? I can't find a comparison picture. Also, is there any chance the .625 size would fit?

These are the five 6SN7 tubes I kept to use with my Bottlehead Crack. I tried several dozens, and these were the cream of the crop in sound quality. I have parted with the amplifier, and thus no longer have a use for them. They were all purchased as lightly used NOS, and I put less than 50...

I would argue that they are misleading and borderline replica; they are implying a relation to the R10 with the name, when it appears they just copied the housing. A lot of people will believe these are a modern take on the R10, when they are unrelated headphones with plagiarized cups.

If it looks like a duck, and its name sounds like duck, then it must be a ploy to cash in on the fame of discontinued headphones from another company. No aknowledgement of the "inspiration" anywhere in the product description either, for legal reasons I assume...

That honestly looks 100x better.

The gold color is fine, but the remaining silver parts clash a lot IMO, especially the cable connectors and the cups' intermediate section.

Too much color mismatch, not a fan. :(

Reviving this thread; there is a new version of the Turbulent driver that released last month. Curious to see if anyone has auditioned it yet.

Disappointing that it is not compatible with the DX200/DX220 amp modules.
