    Alclair Versa IEMs

Curious if anyone has experience with the Alclair Versa IEMs? They run $249USD and are dual bore and dual driver. I'm contemplating snagging a pair, but was curious if anyone had experience or knowledge regarding this model.

How do I remove my Comply Tips from my SE215?

Same thing happened to me. Please, DO NOT put them in the freezer overnight. That is terrible for the internals and could cause permanent damage. The best thing to do is place them in the freezer, in a ziplock bag, for about 5-10 minutes. This will harden the foam and they are much easier to get...

    [REVIEW] Shure SE215

I just got mine in the mail. Haven't burned them in any and they are just running straight from my Sansa Clip+, and all I can say is WOW! These seriously sound like more than $99. I love them.

Best In earphones for under 100

SE215 or Westone 1 are both around 100 and offer very good value. My SE215s should be in Tuesday, and I have heard the 1's. Just depends on the type of sig. you are looking for.

    Sony V6/7506 in an IEM

Hey Everyone,   Just wondering if anyone could make a suggestion for an IEM (under 100USD preferably) that has a signature close to the Sony V6/7506. I love the clarity and sparkle that these cans offer (plus the fun bass), but they are too bulky and the cable is far to long for portable...

Custom IEM Impressions Tomorrow-- Bite Block?

Hey Everyone,   I recently purchased some Westone AC2's, and after a refit they still are muddy and the seal breaks when I sing. I have an appointment tomorrow to get another set of impressions done and send them off again.    My audiologist, though an authorized Westone dealer, was not...

    Anyone ever buy Livewires anymore?

I got a pair of AC2's today... and its true that there are always adjustments that need to be made. I got them for a total of $384... which while below MSRP, doesn't include the expense of driving to the audiologist for what I'm sure could be four or six times total. (They are located 45mins...

    Custom Ears (possible fit problem)

I picked it up at the audiologist, and noticed that it was a little loose. However, I eventually had to use just one ear to hear the click-track as the popping noise was getting on my nerves so bad. I have called and left a message with my audiologist, and also sent an e-mail to Westone. When I...

    Custom Ears (possible fit problem)

Hello everyone,   I just got back from my first band practice using my Westone AC2's, and I am thinking I may have a problem. Everytime I moved my mouth to sing, the seal would "semi" break, and a popping sound followed as they sat back into place. This happened many times during the night...

Review: Westone AC2 dual driver custom in ear monitor

Thanks for the review Project86! I just got my impressions done today and placed an order for the AC2's. They will be replacing my UM2's, which I am quite happy with, other than having to buy a new set of Comply's every week to keep a consistent fit. I feel like I'm renting my earphones...

    Shure SE215 or Wetstone 1???

I haven't auditioned the Westone 1 or the SE215. However, it is important to note that the SE215 is a dynamic driver, whereas the Westone 1 is a Balanced Armature. Those different designs create drastically different sound signatures, and it really comes down to user preference on which one is...

    $20 Budget For Bassy IEM

I agree with seanmo. Just make sure that you get them fit properly. When I got them, I thought at first that they were harsh in the treble. If you hear sibilance, then you need to insert them deeper. For $20, they compete, at least in my opinion, with IEM's costing double or maybe even triple...

iems with cell phones - did I think of everything?

I have a MeElec M6p which has an inline mic. Personally I don't like using it due to the noise isolation of the IEM's. It sounds just fine, but when both earplugs are in, I can't tell how loud I am talking, etc. However, I do believe that if one was on a subway, bus, etc. that it would be more...

Monster Beats Dr. Dre Tour Fakes

I purchased a pair of Fake Beats from iOffer.com. The first pair that was sent to me had a short in the left speaker. Surprisingly, they sent me another pair and this time the sound in the left speaker is quieter than the right. Although I'm not going to ask for a third pair, that alone tells...

    The <$200 Custom

So, I've been thinking lately about getting an entry level custom. My budget is ~$200 -- pref. less. Here are some options that I've been considering:   1) Kozee Infitinity XI (Executive Edition) --  http://kozeesolutions.com/product/1/infinity_x1                           I will wait on...

Cheapest/Most Comfortable for a college student?

As long as those Beats are genuine, they are OK. However, for $45, I would check to make sure that they are not indeed some Chinese knockoff.

    Westone AC Series

I've seen these on their website, but have been unable to find any reviews. Does anyone have them? I'm looking to get my first customs and just wondering about prices/performance.   Thanks!

    Best IEM's off Amazon <$250?

What about the Westone 2 or UM2?   http://www.amazon.com/Westone-WST-WESTONE2-2-Earphones/dp/B00373PE9Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1297915408&sr=1-1

Possible that my body "rejects" in-ear headphones?

I used to have that problem with IEM's, but I finally figured out that the IEMs that sit in my ear, rather than stick out, provide the best fit. Take a look at something like the Westone UM1, or even MEElectronics M6 and see if that style works for you.

MEElectronics M6 for budget stage IEM?

I can't seem to find a price for under $20. Do you know a site or do they just regularly go on sale for that price?

MEElectronics M6 for budget stage IEM?

I appreciate the suggestion, but $65 is a little over budget for this. They only play once a month and most will only wear them in one ear anyway (aside from the drummer who usually brings cans). Any other suggestions?
