Reterminate my Whiplash Cable with 3.5mm UK based
Does anyone know where I can send my IEM cable to get reterminated as the plating has rubbed off on the Oyaide jack (I can see metal underneath the jack). I neither have the equipment or the time to do it myself even though I read that it is pretty easy to do. I am based in the UK, so if...- Sangaphunchai

Official Ipod Video / Classic 5g+5.5g+6g+6.5g+7g SSD Mod thread
You should go with the proven supertalent ssd mentioned in this thread. I have one of them myself. Works great. Good warranty. And cheap. However, if you have the 60GB ipod that's thicker, you're gonna have to put a spacer because the ssd is thinner, shouldn't be too difficult..- Sangaphunchai

Everything on mine works perfectly, all the artwork is there and no problems after syncing. But the glitch during the songs really bothers me.- Sangaphunchai

Official Ipod Video / Classic 5g+5.5g+6g+6.5g+7g SSD Mod thread
So I successfully installed in the ssd into the video and it syncs fine. The problem I have is that once in a while, there is a glitch during playback, for a second or so. Why is this happening? I thought that ssd read speeds would not cause this to happen. It's very annoying when it happens...- Sangaphunchai

Official Ipod Video / Classic 5g+5.5g+6g+6.5g+7g SSD Mod thread
I have successfully installed the 128GB SSD on my 5th gen iPod but every once in a while there would be a hick up in the music, like it would stop for a second and resume. Is this normal? I'm pretty sure that I didn't do anything wrong while installing and everything is connected fine. What...- Sangaphunchai

I don't know about the HDD from the classic to the video but the max SSD is 256gb for the thin ipod video (if you read this thread you'd know). Just go to superbiiz and search for 1.8' ssd and you'll find all the capacity. I just ordered one, waiting for it to come.- Sangaphunchai

Apogee ONE
I recently bought an apogee ONE. I plugged it in and used it as a DAC. However, I found that the music coming out through the ONE sounded horrible. I was playing Adele's performance at Royal Albert Hall. Her voice sounded tinny and lacked vocal presence. The overall sound quality is very...- Sangaphunchai

Quote: Are you sure that this FZM56GW18P is the part number? When I checked the spec sheet it says Power Supply: Vcc= 5V ± 5%, not 3.3V. There is another model listed, the MasterDrive GF IDE ZIF instead of the DuraDrive ZT2 ZIF which you mentioned, that has a 3.3V power supply...- Sangaphunchai

Upgrade from a 5th Gen iPod (Video)
Can't get 64GB for $200 that's for sure. DarkAudit is right, the ipod 5th gen does have the best sound of all the apple players. Why do you need an upgrade? If you need more storage you can just replace the harddrive or the battery for that matter. I am thinking of switching back the gen 5 ipod.- Sangaphunchai

DAP or Smartphone.
I think smartphones sounds just as good as a DAP, if you don't want to carry around two devices and are not driving full headphones with it, an iphone or a samsung galaxy s II will be just fine.- Sangaphunchai

Westone ES5
I don't know about trance music for the es5, but I would recommend the es5 over jh13 for sure. First off the fit on the es5 is really good, they have a hybrid design which IMO, much better in terms of seal and comfortability. The base performance on the es5 is perfect, although with only one...- Sangaphunchai

Good portable setup
Correction, I just remembered there are the akg earphones that are super expensive and another japanese or korean ones as well that cost over $1000. I have never tried them but they are dynamic drivers. IMO, they will not exceed the 3 balanced armature drivers on any of the high end iem mentioned.- Sangaphunchai

Good portable setup
THe TF10s are $160 on amazon atm, so go grab them quick. Although I would not recommend them, they are so uncomfortable and fits weirdly. I would look at westone options like the um3x, the w4, or the w4r if you have a 400-500 budget. As for universal in ears, these are the "top of the line"...- Sangaphunchai
