Good 6.3 mm snap-on adapter?
Thanks - that's what I thought too, but just wanted to make sure... So now that I know functionality is the same with all of them, I guess I can be a stickler for the looks... Any out there that looks especially nice? I am looking for a silver barrel with a gold plug end...(Like the adapter... -
Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80-Ohm Thread
So my modified Beyers will be terminated with a Switchcraft 3.5mm plug (nickel plated). As I am no longer able to use the factory (original) screw-on 6.3mm adapter plug, I am going to need a snap-on 6.3mm (1/4 inch) adapter when using my home amplifier. Are there any that are better than...- nishan

Good 6.3 mm snap-on adapter?
(This might be overkill research/nit picking as the item is a simple one, but I just want to be sure for peace of mind.) I am getting my pair of Beyer DT 770 Pro modified to have a detachable cable; it will be terminated with a Switchcraft 3.5mm plug (nickel plated). As I am no longer able...- nishan

Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80-Ohm Thread
^Looks great ! and nice work! Just a quick iphone pic during some testing using a small mini Onkyo home amp that usually does bedroom audio duty. Even with this small amp, which is not a dedicated headphone amp by any means, it sounds a lot better than running straight from laptop...This...- nishan

Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80-Ohm Thread
You can probably get a better cable with sturdier strain relief if you're concerned. BTG Audio (Brian) will make any type of cable you ask him to, looks like. (I am currently in communication with him about a detachable cable mod for my 770 pro 80 ohms. (which will hopefully also result in...- nishan

Sub $500 integrated amplifier for a pair of KEF LS50
Music Hall a25.2 - I have it and I love it. Minimalistic, great sound, built like a tank. Can be found for less than $500 used. (I got mine in mint condition for $375 shipped on Audiogon) Here's mine: Can't see the whole amp here, but here's more info... -

Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80-Ohm Thread
Ha - I wish I had your talents- yours look great, indeed. :) Anyway, BTG Audio has written back and said they can only do a locking jack (as the opening for a non-locking will be too big) on the DT770 and that I can choose any cable I want to, and they will terminate it with a locking plug...- nishan

New headphone Idea's and suggestions
I am not sure either - sometimes i think heck with it and just get the k81 for $49, and be done - but I hate the white accents (all black only in europe), and feel like i want a HP with a detachable cable, which the k81 doesn't have :( K181 doesn't look very portable to me and has even more...- nishan

New headphone Idea's and suggestions
the 181 are a better construction, and got better reviews for their sound, and detachable cable, etc. but ARE THEY PORTABLE? any idea how big they're comp'd to 518? and BTW, there was a thread where someone tested the k81dj and k518LE - although cosmetically same, they sound different...- nishan

sennheiser HD-25 good for noob?
i am also one of those who can't decide between the M50 and HD-25-1. To me, the hD25, looks the more versatile - at home use AND portable - (I also have read that they don't NEED an amp, and my friends who's a HP fanatic of sorts also agreed that the difference with an amp is not that...- nishan
