Ok, thanks. The skullcandy's are better than my sony's so either the a jay one or the bass freq would be a big upgrade for me. I would like to go for the a jay two, but it is out of my price range. I will read a few more a jay one reviews and make up my mind. Rob- Rchez08

My sony's had terrible bass, that is partly why i am getting new headphones. I wanted something with similar bass levels to my brothers smokin buds, so you can actually sorta get the 'wub' instea of a 'pop' if you know what i mean. Is the bass better than the cx400's? Rob- Rchez08

Ok, thanks. Anything on noise from the cable? Apparently they can be a bit noisy. Also what is the bass like? And how loud are they? I prefer not having to listen to headphones at top volume on my ipod as i find that the sound distorts more. I think i might go for these. Rob- Rchez08

Ok thanks :) I like the look of the a jays, and the anti- tangle cable sounds cool because i usually stuff my headphones in my pocket. They also come with a 2 year warranty which is good. However they say 20hz - 18khz, whereas the v-moda say 8hz-18khz. Does that mean the a jays will not have as...- Rchez08

Cmoy first build questions
Ok i know it has been ages but i kinda left it for a bit. I thought it may have been a pot problem so soldered in a new pot, still 50% volume in one channel. I then tested the voltages again. One reads just over 10v, the other 5v. They seem to change a bit when i plug headphones in. The sound...- Rchez08

Hi, Firstly, i have an ipod touch, and like a high level of bass. I listen to pop and some electronic such as dubstep. I have a pair of Sony in ear headphones my brother got for me about 2 years ago. I have already replaced the jack when it broke but it is going again, so i borrowed my...- Rchez08

I seem to have more sound in the bad channel now, approx 50% of what i have in te other channel...- Rchez08

ok thanks. i will see if my mum can get me some, cos i doubt they will sell it to me, as i am 14. For pics see above links. The amp sounds really bad, so i will lower the gain, clean up with alcohol when i get some, and check for any solder bridges. Rob- Rchez08

Ok, i have some pics. i know the resistors are huge! i wish i got some 1/4w not 2w now :/ Turns out there is faint sound in the left channel ( i think) and full sound (low quality... like this in both, is this cos of the gain, or a fault?) in...- Rchez08

Ok, thanks for your comments. I have now fully assembled the amplifier :) it works, but I haven't noticed a real increase in quality, only in volume, which my headphones decide to fuss at :/ time for some grados or sennheisers I guess... or not ;) I need to now case up the amp. I'm thinking of a...- Rchez08
