Alas, my beloved M2 stop working. It happened when connecting an usb cable. The screen is now very fainting showing CAUSE 0000- Reserved instruction followed by what appears to be a dump of the CPU registers. Any suggestions on how to revive it?

The new interface is nice. But it killed the most useful piece of my "workflow". :-( I'd click on my account and would the the thread I am participating, with those with new messages in bold. Head-fi is much less useful and fun without that for me. :-( Could we please bring it back?

FWIW, the W1000 works really, really well with the Questyle 600i.     Actualy, the Questyle works really well with all ATH woodies.  But, in despite of having the W1000X, W1000Z, W5000, I keep going back to the W1000. :-)

    Another MA900? :-)     Anyhow... jokes apart:  I think that open planars may be something to try based on your description.  HiFiMan HE400, HE500 and their new versions should be in consideration.  Keep in mind they are bit harder to drive, though.

  Alien Gold does not play 24/96.  Only 44.1 KHz files, either WAVE or FLAC-without-metadata.  I am not sure it plays 24 bits.  I've only tried with 16 bits.
