K250's are a bit of a pain to find. Took ages to find mine. Easiest way I found to get rid of the smell of smoke is to (after having cleaned them offcourse) just lay your headphones in the sun as often as possible. Not to a degree where they would melt, but it gets rid of the smell pretty...- foet

Speaker cable made from 2 Tara Labs Prism Omni cabels per side. 2 wires form 1 signal. Sleeved in paracord 550 (stretched during weaving to make it fit snug) in black with a white reflective stripe & some sort of olive green (blue'ish). Really pleased with the color combo, looks really...- foet

K340 electrett died?
Thanks for the replies, I'll try to solder the spare electret somewhere today and see what that gives me. About replacing parts on the PCB's, as far as I can see they consist of 2 resistors and a well.. copper winded core (no idea how to call this by its proper name in English :)). I can...- foet

K340 electrett died?
I recently bought another pair of K340's for a little mod project. The owner sold the pair mentioning one side had a lower volume, so thinking it was most likely a broken cable or solder joint, I took them. Now, first I re-cabled them using some canare mini starquad and did the default PCB...- foet

EHHA Rev A - Interest Thread
Yes, looks like thats it. So, when facing the round side to me, the right pin should be near the marking (litle arrow)? For the resistors, I followed the BOM. I've quickly checked the coloring on R32 and R33 to be sure : R32 / R33 : 2.94K R5 / R6 : 47 R3 : 1K Just ordered Q7...- foet

Thanks for the help jdkJake. Okay, how would I align this thing (J511)? There is no indication of poles or direction and Google doesn't directly assist me. No idea what the led's are rated, my multi doesn't have that option. I can tell you they are blue (at least 3 are - 1 doesn't light...- foet

I was missing the R1 1MΩ, R30, R31 200kΩ and the R17 (mosfet) 1.5KΩ. I ordered those along with some items I still needed from mouser so it really didn't bother me. I rather bought them and was sure then solder the only ones remaining because they were the only choices left. "pulls out...- foet

I know the topic description might be a bit vague but here's the situation : At this point I have an Audio-gd 19DSP connected by RCA to my NAD amplifier powering my speakers and an acss connection is fueling my C2. Is there a solution where I can "split" the RCA output again to 2 pairs...- foet

How do they sound compared to the - for example - telefunken 6GM8's? I've ordered a matched set of '70 russion military 6N27P for my EHHA rev A to be, and was wondering what would give me a balanced sound with my HE5-LE (that sound quite thin with my current DSP19-C2 combo). My only...- foet

Thanks for the pictures Prog Rock Man, at least I have an idea now how these are supposed to look in normal condition.
