Sorry, just noticed you ordered the w4r. They are still a great IEM and I've no doubt you'll enjoy them.

I've got all 3 and they are different. The 4r is probably the best all-rounder but the 3 has a distinct brassy warmth that the other 2 lack. It's more fun. Of the two, I'd go for the W4R.  Both for sound and a more comfortable fit.  I'd probably throw in the suggestion of the W3 if you like a warmer sound.  I have all three and tend to spend more time with the Westones.  ANd, there's just something a little more fun about the W3.

The  Hisoundaudio Golden Crystal is tiny and sounds good.  If you don't mind something jutting out of your ear, I'd recommend you look at the Klipsch X10i.  I find it really comfortable and easy to get a good seal.

Always come back to Donald Fagen's The Nightfly.  The instruments progressively dropping out at the end of "New Frontier" is a great test.

Agree on the Westones.  Had a similar situation earlier in the year (so I feel your pain) and the Westone 3s were by far the most comfortable with head on pillow.  Best of luck.

Agree that the X10i is a superb IEM.  Fortunately, I can get a great fit/isolation for the Westone range and I think that the W4 has the edge for me.  When you're dozing on a plane, you could stab yourself in the ear with the Klipsch.  However, if you want iPhone/iPod controls and mic, I think...

IE8 fit can be tricky.  You can wear them wire down but I find that the size/weight of the earpiece makes wire down a little awkward.  For me, over the ear is more comfortable and gives a more stable fit.     They do protrude from the ear - I can't imagine too many ears that have a diamond...

I'd second the IE8, if you like the Sennheiser house sound.  Fit's a bit more awkward but fine when you get used to it.
