Good, Stylish portable headphones that sound good?
Nice that u got a big budget. Id say the Sennheiser HD 25-II. HOWEVER the looks is not stylish in my opinion, looks more rugged and utilitarian. Just me though. Because of ur needs, u maybe want the Phiaton series like the MS 400 or PS ones. In my opinion, just get the JVC HA-S650...- BlackSushi222

Headphones for classical music and video games?
The comfort issue with the RP-21 can be easily resolved such as with the M50 so no need to have that hold the OP back. Just need to stretch it overnight or 2 over the box it was packaged, or maybe a stack of books, or around the computer case. Then if needed, add Beyerdynamic Pleather Pads...- BlackSushi222

Higher volume in left speaker
Quote: Hmm, i think thats normal. I'm getting same thing with my 2 headphones. And when I switch them, the left is still louder. Like the voices are coming from that side and most of the stuff, right side has the "extra" filler stuff, and in the middle is the bass. I thought it was...- BlackSushi222

Higher volume in left speaker
Do you mean you hear the vocals mostly on the left side? By all means that's normal, same thing happening to me. It's just a recording thing as the mixers find that separation easier. Bass should be dead center.- BlackSushi222

Help with replacement for Sennheiser HD428
Ah alright, I gotcha. Thx for the info. So yep, definitely try to burn it in at least for 50 hours. Maybe the bass will arise. It's true though, Ipod EQ settings like bass boost are truely horrible. On any headphone I had, it distorted like crazy. An amp should give a different effect...- BlackSushi222

Help with replacement for Sennheiser HD428
You're gunna fall in love and marry the Denon 1001s I believe. U really didn't like the 428? Give it some time to burn in, things should improve. I myself was looking into getting the 428 cuz I need headphones that warm up your ears (i.e. winter time). Do you think the 428 do that? ...- BlackSushi222

Torn between Senn 428 and JVC HA-S700 for winter.
Hey guys. As of now, I am stuck between some Sennheiser 428s and the JVC HA-S700. I have read both sound great, and probably HA-S700 isolate better, but main point is... I need the best one to use during German winters. My ears are very sensitive to the cold, so I thought maybe a headphone...- BlackSushi222

Help on headphones
Mike5 I am here to rescue you. A very cost effective headphone under 75 bucks that fulfills in isolation, sound quality, easily Ipod Touch driven, styling, comfort, and somewhat durability is the JVC HA-S650. Give it a go, I don't wanna be the only one enjoying them .- BlackSushi222

Earwax in SE420
Get a small syringe and fill it with warm water, and slightly increasing the temp every 3 blasts into your ear. That should eliminate all earwax as it shoots back out *vomit in mouth*.- BlackSushi222

Great sounding closed headphones for work
I recommend the JVC HA-S650. Good isolation but enough to hear a phone, folds flat, small, leakage is almost nil, satisfying sound quality, good price, and easily driven unamped. U could also try the JVC HA-S700, but I think the isolation is even better on those, so maybe you won't be able...- BlackSushi222

PORTABLE HEADPHONES (Help me choose)
From where have u read that the JVC HA-S650 lacked clarity? On my pair, the clarity is definitely there. Yeah, I'd like to get my hands on the PX200-II as well. Only thing I don't like is the inline volume control. I would find it more of a hindrance than a wonderful addition. Other than...- BlackSushi222

Ah I c, did u also end up trying the "asteroid mod"`? It's where u easily take out a piece of foam in the middle on each side. Reports indicate that they open up really well.- BlackSushi222

I think you'll like the M50s, or for big bass the AKG K518DJs. Dang, so you didn't like the 228s huh? I was really considering those before I decided on my current ones.- BlackSushi222

Comfortable closed headphones $150
Idk if the Sennheiser 25-I-II or M50 supports glasses, but many recommend them. I also recommend the RP-21s, they have an angled slot specifically for glasses when you wear them. They also have a hard clamping force at first, which requires some overnight stretching and Beyerdynamic pleather...- BlackSushi222

PORTABLE HEADPHONES (Help me choose)
The AKG K518DJs are really one of the best choices in terms of SQ and high isolation at that price point. The comfort is what is the problem. I auditioned them at the store, and I haven't even put them on for 2 minutes and my ears already hurt (I do have a big head though). I would have...- BlackSushi222

Are the Senn HD555 good for gaming?
I hear the 555 is a fine choice, if u want more bass, just bump it in the EQ a bit. If u want a closed set to compliment, I really recommend the RP-21. I love em after they burned in (took 100+ hours), and became really comfortable after stretching and Beyerdynamic pleather pads added. The...- BlackSushi222

New headphones for my PC.
I was in ur shoes before, and many people recommended me both choices. Mad Envy Lust specifically told me the Creative Aurvana Lives are amazing multi-purpose headphones. Great for gaming, music, and movies, and isolating a good amount of sound and great soundstage and 3D imaging...- BlackSushi222
