Recommendations for computer speakers and possibly a dac. Any recommendations?

Yes if they are the only people who sell them then they are sold out.

These look great but I can't find them anywhere.  Any ideas?

Recommendations for computer speakers and possibly a dac. Any recommendations?

Maybe below $500 for all of it. Cheaper the better though. I had a bad run with audio-gd dac I bought a while ago. I honestly couldn't hear the difference between between it and the onboard soundcard or the xonar dx.  Even though many people said I would.  They have done a really good job as...

Recommendations for computer speakers and possibly a dac. Any recommendations?

Currently use my audio technica ATH-A900x headphones with the onboard sound card (Realtek ALC892). I use the onboard since my Xonar DX broke.   I'd like to get a pair of speakers mainly for music, tv, movies and possibly some light gaming.  I really like my 900X headphones and will likely use...

    etymotic customfit isolation?

Yeah I read that.  There are many other conflicting reports through. So somebody is wrong.

    etymotic customfit isolation?

I got the hf5's for their sound and isolation.  Sound is great.  I can only get great isolation with the gliders if I go really deep. I can get slightly less isolation with the foam's.  The triple flange provides zero isolation on both, no matter how deep. Even with the best isolation of the...

Cannot get good isolation with new etymotic hf5's/

Quote:   I do pull my ear up, that's how the etymotic video shows us how to do it and it's how I've always done it even with shures. I have done the same with the grey triple flange and have gone as deep as I can go.  It does not seal.  I can hear everything fine.  Yes the flange is on...

Cannot get good isolation with new etymotic hf5's/

I recently got a pair of etymotic hf5's.  I have been a shure user for a long time, so I am not new to iems. I returned a new paid of se215's due to the lead content. With both included sets of triple flange I cannot get a seal no matter what I try.  I have a humidifier on and can ear it fine no...

    etymotic hf5 before buy concerns

I am looking to get the etymotic hf5's as they look pretty good for my isolation needs.  The only concern I have which needs answering is on how deep they go.  Is there a limit to how far they can go in?  I ask because I am going to be using these mainly for riding the subway (which is very...

Looking for lower end iem with isolation similair to shure's.

Quote:   Quote:     Well I don't carry a bag so they would have to stay in my pocket.  They are too big for that.  I tried it for a few days.  It's just incomfortable to have such a bug buldge in my pant pocket. Another downside is that shure uses lead solder so you are...

Looking for lower end iem with isolation similair to shure's.

I sampled a pair of se215's, they are nice and sound great but just way too big to carry to work everyday.  I am looking for an iem with similair isolation as when riding the subway that's a huge benefit.  The shure's are rated for 37db.  The iems also can't sit far outside of my ears like the...

Looking for IEM's at a fair price with great isolation that aren't clunky and built well.

I have SE210's which work well and while they do offer good isolation they are big.  I don't carry a bag with me daily so the SE210's in their case are just too big.  I am looking for a smaller iem that offers good isolation and is not as vulnerable.  I want to have a small pouch where I can...

    Xonar DX vs STX

Quote:   So you noticed a quality difference that was worthwhile with your 50Ohm headphones?

    Xonar DX vs STX

Yeah, from what I have read these Asian Dac things look to be just scams.  I think id prefer something from a know company.

    Xonar DX vs STX

When running low impedance headphones 64Ohm (A700), how much better would the STX sound vs the DX?  Is the extra $150 worth the price, for just music, tv and movies.

why do i need a sound card?

What makes the AD700 need an amp and the A700's not?  The AD even has a lower impedance.  My A700's get absolutely no benefit from an amp.

Need a sound card for under $125 and some help with what to do with my PC setup

I have the same setup as you and my audio 2 zs died a few days ago.  I went with the Xonar DX.

What type of speakers are best for 2.1 with new soundcard?

Quote:   Is there anyway to get them cheaper than the $200?  I may be able to push the $170 like I said.

What type of speakers are best for 2.1 with new soundcard?

I was looking at the Xonar STX/ST to power my A700 headphones, but realized I likely don't need the amp.  So with the money I think id like to get a cheaper but still good sound source like the Xonar DX and a nice set of desktop speakers.  I have never really used speakers, so I really haven't a...

    Linux Souncard recommendations needed.

How does a sub $80 dac compare to something like the M-audio 2496? or other Envy based cards.

Cheapest usb amp/dac that offers best sound quality.

I am looking for a new soundcard for my new Linux build, but though I should also look at small usb dac's.  I have 60ohm headphones if that means anything.  I'm not looking for anything overly fancy, just something that plays the audio well.  It needs to work with Linux, I've read units like the...

    Linux Souncard recommendations needed.

I found this site while looking for a Linux soundcard.  I am building a new system without onboard audio and need a good pci or pci-e sound card for my system.  I'm not really sure of what works and what doesn't, in terms of Linux compatibility.  But I want the best sound for the cheapest...
