SPDIF--->USB
Yes, thank you. I'm actually in computer IT so I'd definitely be familiar with all kinds of computer solutions. As I mentioned though, it is a highly inefficient, wasteful (of electricity), cumbersome, and latency inducing method of doing this however and definitely impractical for anything...- Typhoon859

SPDIF--->USB
Headphones mostly, and they are high enough impedance that really that shouldn't have made a difference. In any case, they are the only headphones I'd want to use (Brainwavz HM5's). Not sure why it's hard to believe, regarding the Orion. The thing has 32 times as many converters + a bunch of...- Typhoon859

SPDIF--->USB
Yes, it's more than good enough for individual tracks which can further be processed however you'd like, but for live monitoring the final stereo bus (the full mix), it's not as revealing of subtle details as I'd like it to be, and I personally don't own an amp with a balanced input. I...- Typhoon859

SPDIF--->USB
People have a hard time maintaining a stoic state of mind and egos are too high strung in a public space :/ In any case, the recording interface I use/have is the Antelope Orion32, but it really doesn't matter. My intention was also to potentially use it with other sources like a S/PDIF out...- Typhoon859

SPDIF--->USB
There are plenty of devices which take digital input and work as an interface through USB to send to a computer. Obviously not the problem. To answer your question directly, it is to pair it with a recording interface through which I can then monitor a mix using a good USB DAC instead of...- Typhoon859

SPDIF--->USB
This has literally been went over endlessly throughout this thread, painstakingly in cases. It's not an interface with one (that would be a waste of money and cumbersome). I'm not sure what's unclear about a converter, besides the complication of it needing to serve as a USB host (which...- Typhoon859

Review: Fischer Audio FA-003 - a neutral champ!
Yes, all the headbands are the same besides for the XPT-100's which are looser (which does in fact worsen the sound, especially over time).- Typhoon859

Little Dot Tube Amps: Vacuum Tube Rolling Guide
Right, but it just ends up changing it to a "k" sound. You could just put a dash XD In any case, not the most relevant thing. Don't want to fill the board up with this.- Typhoon859

Little Dot Tube Amps: Vacuum Tube Rolling Guide
Ok, fixed. Does it really matter though? I linked directly to where you can find them so there wouldn't really be any confusion on that end. Also, ironically, I actually speak Russian, and I know what the word is supposed to sound like. Neither spelling makes sense. It's technically just...- Typhoon859

I haven't tried the C3G. Is this what everyone is talking about? I've never seen one with an additional connector (or whatever it is) in the center. How would it fit? XD- Typhoon859

Little Dot Tube Amps: Vacuum Tube Rolling Guide
I kind of expected you were going to get different answers, but to me, it almost sounds like you were directly describing the Voskhod 6ZH1P-EV. I would recommend getting ones with the OTK1 and military diamond/rhombus stamp. A seller I'd strongly recommend is Ebay user glaz_25. It might take...- Typhoon859

[Review] NVX XPT100, A direct Brainwavz HM5 competitor
Honestly, I don't know of any cans more accurate than them, so I'm not surprised. Good on them. Only thing weird is that they're not using the Fischer Audio ones which are slightly better with the titanium reinforced drivers, making for another treble and less distortion in general.- Typhoon859

Review: Fischer Audio FA-003 - a neutral champ!
Yeah, I guess the Ti would be a better option then. I'm not sure exactly yet if I'll be purchasing it yet (might just be purchasing the headphones themselves), but yeah, if it's less firm, then it probably means it's exactly the same if not worse in terms of how the pressure affects how the...- Typhoon859

FA-003Ti parts
This is excellent! I've been waiting for something like this for a while! I appreciate you guys setting this up. The headband is undoubtedly overpriced even if it's with the fixed aluminum forks (I mean, even $50 would be pushing it), and I guess relative to the original price of the...- Typhoon859

Review: Fischer Audio FA-003 - a neutral champ!
Thanks! That's really cool. Unfortunately, I already searched craigslist and ebay and didn't find anything. I couldn't find the actual part in the Sennheiser store either, even with the number you provided. All I'm able to find anywhere is the padding for it. Ironically, I was able to find...- Typhoon859
