Do replaceable cables work?
i've had IE8,SM3, em3-pro and twag cables all go out,... but that's more down to how i use them and not a manufacturing fault. of the cables that went out, none were due to a sudden shock or snagging on anything, but rather as a result of wear and tear,... i use them alot, a few hours...- anomalouscode

But I managed to extract the pins and resoldered them to the cable. So my question,... Are UE pins the same...- anomalouscode

Fitear F111 or 334, with IPC+Hpp1.
i've only got the EM3 with Twag so i can imagine the EM4 to sound a bit better to what i've got,... but from whats been said about the 334's i think vocals might come a bit more forward, and the highs might be brighter, bass perhaps the same amount? they could sound very similar but they...- anomalouscode

Quote: i think you just sold me on the 111's :P as that's pretty much what I'm looking for. but i'm gonna get myself a pair or ER4's just to see what all the fuss is about, while i wait for a bit more feedback on the 111's.- anomalouscode

Fitear F111 or 334, with IPC+Hpp1.
yeah i'm looking at the fitears as well, and from what i've read so far,.... 334 for if you want your music to sound nice, ie bad recordings might not sound so bad but good recordings will be stellar. 111 for clinical, ie bad recordings will sound bad and good recordings will sound...- anomalouscode

Bit accurate sound from USB?
regardless of 16 or 24, if you want to listen to the music as it was intended, which alot of audiophiles do, then you shouldnt be doing anything at all to anything except turning the volume knob. for classical, if it sounds lower, its lower in this section to contrast with the massive...- anomalouscode

Bit accurate sound from USB?
think of text instead of audio. back in the day, songs were engineered to lets say about 12pt. then one day some guys came out with a song at 23pt, which made the 12pt's sound smaller and less powerful. so everyone started to up the size of the font to stupid numbers, to the...- anomalouscode
