    Replacement drivers for ATH-CK100?

I have a pair of ATH-CK100 from... 2010 I think. I really loved them, but some time ago I put it in the washing machine while it's in my pants and one of the earpiece has a smaller volume now. I don't think this is fixable by itself, so I'm planning to make it a custom earphone. I asked...

RockBox For HiFiman HM601 and for HM801

The only reason I sold my 602 was the lack of Korean support. Now I am starting to think I might buy this player again. I really do like rockbox.

Wait, RE0 is $59.99 @ amazon. Another price drop? It's still $80 at head direct though. Is DBROTH an authorized dealer?     EDIT : Well, judging from the review at amazon people dislike DBROTH. RE0's tend to break a lot, so maybe I should just buy from HD if I had to buy any.

    pencil fi?

Currently using Mitsubishi Hi-Uni HB, Faber Castell Castell 9000 3B, Tombow Mono 100 HB, Pentel Marksheet pencil HB. More than enough. I've never tried the Mars Lumograph though I can't see them being better (or at least as good) compared to what I'm using now.   Mechanical pencils... 0.3mm...

    [REVIEW] HifiMan RE262 – A Beautiful Voice

I just got it and I can confirm that the only thing that changed is the trrs plug. No metal housing for 262... maybe reserved for the 272. It comes with a luxurious(?) box that resembles a mini HM-602 box, but still without a carrying case. It comes with 3 soft adapters with 3 different...

    [REVIEW] HifiMan RE262 – A Beautiful Voice

Quote: Are you sure the housing is metal? Well it kinda looks like but I was not entirely sure (though I will know for sure when i get it).

    Hifiman RE262 Initial Impressions

I own DDMs and I preordered the 262(though I had these for some time).   For both IEMs if you don't swap channels the fit gets awkward when you wear them over the ear, at least my ear did. I had to use a larger tip compared to what I used when I wore them straight down to get the seal and...

The balanced output is bothersome but the L/R switch adapter is just too good to be true. for wearing over the ear it's just the best option.

We have a re262 preorder at $150 in HD. I think it is a pretty good deal.

SM3 vs Monster turbine pro copper vs ....

Yeah, I meant the radius TWF11. I linked to clieos' review a few posts earlier. Isolation is about average when used with monster gel supertips. It is definitely not its strong point but it is not too bad either. When I tried them with a Cowon player and with some equalizing it provided the best...

SM3 vs Monster turbine pro copper vs ....

Well I really seriously recommend the DDM for bassheads. The DDM's bass has the best texture and the most powerful impact from a universal, you don't hear them but feel them, as if the IEM itself is vibrating. I've had the MTPC a while ago and by quantity it was just no match. I had the SM2(not...

The Deals Thread (CLOSED! See the last post for the link to the new thread)

RE262 preorder on HD ($149), looks like an amazing deal. http://head-direct.com/product_detail.php?p=101 looks like it has the 4pin termination again.

http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/516132/review-radius-hp-twf11r-double-the-fun maybe you'll find ClieOS's review helpful. The DDM has both quality and quantity.

SM3 vs Monster turbine pro copper vs ....

If you crave for bass I recommend the DDM, it makes me sick when listening to House sometimes because of its bass rumble. Never heard the IE8 though.

radius website says HP-TWF21 is ready

The original DDM is the most satisfying IEM I've ever owned. Looking forward to this, and I'm saving money.    But then why should I upgrade when I'm perfectly happy? (I was not able to think this way a few months ago)

what universal iem offers the best isolation?

For me the ER4S was the best(and is considered by many to be the golden standard for isolation) I have ever tried but I didn't have enough time with it. SM2 with Shure Olives was the best of what I owned previously. The DDM I am using right now offers really less isolation compared to other BA...

[Review] Sensaphonics j-phonics - the BEST professional universal stage ear monitor yet

Now that the initial excitement is over, maybe I would describe the bad aspects of the sound with a word or two. Highs : The low treble has some peaks (around 10~11k I think) and the rolloff is much greater than my PK1, which is typical for a BA phone though I can't say I like it. I have...

UE is dumping their stuff(yeah I know this word is only used when international trade is involved but I can't seem to find a better word). They make money on customs and they already have a huge sum of money(Logitech) and they're dumping universals on the market.    Look at amazon triple fi...

[Review] Sensaphonics j-phonics - the BEST professional universal stage ear monitor yet

^ I was using the olives from the start, as I'm not exactly a fan of Comply tips. The problem is the phone's small design and my big ear. I studied it for some time and now I know how to get the best fit and seal though. Shouldn't be a distraction if you are trying to buy.
