Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6
I think this may have something to do with the "DSD Mode" setting. The default setting is D2P, and I had changed it to DOP to make use of my external DSD USB DAC. I switched it back to D2P, and the timing is now proper. In fact, I can switch between the modes as the DSD file is playing, and...- rocque

Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6
Hmm, interesting, thx for this datapoint. I assume you're running fw 2.1 as well? I have a 128GB Samsung EVO+, formatted in exFAT. I also just tried an old 8GB Sandisk formatted in FAT32, and still got the same thing.- rocque

Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6
Thx for replying and testing it out. Try any of the DSD64 .dsf test files from this website: http://www.2l.no/hires/index.html. Take for example the first track, "Magnificat." Website states that the duration of the track is 4:55. However, when I play it on my M0, it shows the length as...- rocque

Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6
Has anyone observed odd things relating to timing and DSD files? - a .dsf or .dff DSD64 file in the play progress bar shows a length/duration much longer than actual real-time length; - when the file is being played back, the time elapsed moves at an actual 1-second cadence, but the time counter...- rocque

Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6
Excuse this post if it has already been brought up prior, but has anyone experienced hearing noise near the end of a DSD64 .dsf file, like a very short burst of something that sounds like static? This is consistently happening for me across all such files, whether I play back on the M0...- rocque

Fostex HP-P1 vs Cypher Labs Algorhythm Solo?
Looking forward to your impressions, as this is a similar setup (at least with the bricks) that I want to achieve. Question, did you send in a custom request for the Black Dragon ICs, or did you just order them straight off Moon Audio's website? Also, what is the length of those coaxial and...- rocque

Matrix Mini-i Balanced DAC+HP amp
Folks, has anyone of you tried this passthrough configuration? WinXP/7, playing a multichannel source -> USB -> Matrix -> SPDIF out -> receiver It seems that Windows is only recognizing the DAC as a stereo source, not a SPDIF one, so all I'm getting is stereo out. I have a DTS CD...- rocque

Matrix Mini-i Balanced DAC+HP amp
Looking for some help: I'm trying to connect my MacBook Pro via optical out to the Matrix, I have the Optical Output selected in my Sound preferences, yet I continue to see "No Sample" on the Matrix display. I confirmed that the optical in is working on the unit by hooking something else to it...- rocque
